Hosack Run
Paid for a full hookups but our sewer connection was uphill from our 24ft trailer. The loop was like a cul-de-sac with 6 sites arranged radially so parking was an issue on the crowded weekend. Host was nice and tried to keep things in order. Site was not level. 5 nights cost about $175. It is convenient to Gettysburg if you're into history. We won't be back.

One And Done
We stayed in Hosack Run with our 32 foot motor home. Better love your neighbor because you are right next to them. Paved site that needed leveling blocks. If you get a full hookup site best run the water out on the ground until it clears up and smelled like sulfur. PA blew it on this one. Checked it in the box to never return!

Updated
We stayed in Hossack Run and it is paved with a new bathhouse. Wood is avail at the entrance if you need it. You need to bring your leveling blocks for your site those are a wee bit off. 7/2022

Advid Camper, Hiker, Search & Rescue
I've camped here many times since 2014, different sites with Tent, 24-ft Trailer, 33-ft Trailer and a 24-ft Class B, most recently in Spring 2022. It is always a very good experience, staff and camp hosts are nice, bathrooms, showers and sites clean, except when people who don't care about rules or courtesy of others leave trash or party like they are entitled to disrespect others.
Sites are well maintained and adequate, prices and rules are very fair, much better than for profit campgrounds. Cell service is dependent on phone carrier and site/hiking location, nothing to do with the park at all, just physics and provider economic decisions where to provide service.
Camping, hiking and recreation should be relaxing and slower pace enjoying God's great provisions for us, not spent stressed or constantly on social media.
The only thing stressful is having people disrespect others with loudness, the park rules and nature by leaving trash, damaging trees and nature

Outrageous
Cost to camp is absurd and they don't allow pets.

Blown Away!
We have traveled most of the US and love staying in state parks. Honest review: pricing is in my opinion is obscene! The sites are very close together and way off level. We had to try 3 spots before we found one we could manage. I would NOT recommend any rig larger than 30ft here. Facilities definitely needed updating. Camp host was great!!

Good park.. beautiful lake
Its a beautiful campground. Wasn't hardly anyone there when we went. We always camp during the week (my days off are Tuesday n weds) was a little disappointed in the bathhouse but hey you are camping... The lady at the office was nice although I feel we could have been given better directions. Apparently there's a large campground behind the office and a smaller pet friendly one down the road a mile. We stayed at hosack run campground the one down the road. Would have liked to have seen the other one but didn't know where it was until the day we left. Its quiet and for the money we we're happy with our stay. The resevior is absolutely beautiful we can't wait to go back and try fishing.

Disappointed!
I love state parks but this one was a let down. Now, granted it was the July 4th weekend and all campgrounds were packed, but they stuck us in a weird group round camp area that was too small for our trailer, right on top of our neighbors, most sites seemed too close together. The bathrooms are old and need some serious upgrades - peeling paint, moldy cement floors.... though I will give it a couple stars for nice hot water in the showers and the pine forest surroundings were nice.
