App Trail
The App Trail runs right next to the campsite, which is cool. The rangers are very friendly and helpful. The best part for us was the close proximity to so many hiking trails. We never had to get in the car to go anywhere. It was awesome.

Home
I've been going to Big Meadows for 36 years. When I'm there I feel at home. You forget about work and politics and what the world is doing. I usually go the end of October. I have always used a tent this year was the first time with my new camper it was a learning experience. But the feeling was the same I am home complete relaxation. The wildlife you can find you get to know where they lay down during the day photo ops are amazing. If you're there on a Saturday and Sunday it's a big difference that a Tuesday and Wednesday. See you next October.

Loved It!
Got the last site they had for walk ins. Can’t use generators at all and it got down to 31 the night we spent there 10/19 I can see people staying longer if they had electric and water. No cell, no WiFi but who cares, we were there for “nature” and we got lucky to see deer that came to the next site Will come back next Year in October

This Place Has It Going On!!!
Great park, Great NP Rangers! The lodge is up a little higher and out on the deck you can get Wi-Fi and cell service. I would haven't given it a 6 but after my shower I packed everything up and went to open the door I had dead blocked in this very small closet of a room. I had no way to get the door open. I just getting ready to start screaming when I found a tiny piece of metal where the towel hook used to be. I clawed at it with my fingernails and got it opened. No harm, I am fine now!

Beautiful Spot!
This was so beautiful and open late in the year! There are no hookups so if you're like us and have solar/propane I'd suggest finding a back into spot around the perimeter or closer to the tent loop to avoid the annoying sound of generators running. Definitely ruins sitting out by the campfire. Bathrooms, showers and laundry on site. They were nice and heated this fall! Very worth a few days hiking and the the views were amazing in the fall! There are quite a lot of pull through spots if you have a bigger RV as well.

Can get quite crowded. Lots of free activities for families. Everyday they have a Park Ranger led activity.
