Hidden Gem
We stayed here two night on May 18-19, 2023. We’re able to make last minute reservations on line. Park is very dark at night (great for sleeping). Long drive into park but easy. Park is close to local shopping, and eateries. About as 40 minute drive to DC on I66. At check in they ask for your trailer license plate #, make of your camper and color. Thought that was strange but was no big deal. Did not use facilities so review there. Lots of wildlife around and recreation areas are beautiful. Will definitely stay here again if we come back to visit DC.

Camper
Nice park with lots of features like water park, etc. No Wifi. Be aware that the gun range is busy on weekends so if you camp in the northern section of the campground you will hear almost constant gunfire. Range closes at 5:00 pm and it's quiet after then. Lots of Bluebells here in early spring. $10 fee for early arrival - before 1:00 - even if it's only an hour.

Nice Place To Stay
We spent 4 days to camp at this site. Overall, the campground is nice with several facilities such as electricity, restroom, potable water, laundry, and shower. Unfortunately, they need to be transparent on the price. They required minimum 2 days to stay. They also required $8 for car acces pass. In total we spent $92 for 2 days. Some spots do not have pitch for tent and make it difficult when it rain

Two Glorious Nights
Just got out of DC, and needed to relax. Perfectly laid out sites in that the driver's side is on the road and the door opens into woods. The range ran most of the day but my dogs weren't affected. All shooting stopped at dusk. Beautifully wooded and secluded site. Christmas in the park starts Nov 11th and the decorations looked spectacular.

We Love This Park
We've stayed here a couple times while visiting the DC area. It's nice to feel like you're in the woods when you're so close to a major metropolitan area. The sites are not necessarily level, and some are worse than others, but they're not too bad. We were in site 40 at one point (water+elec) and the power at the post had voltage dips that shut off our surge protector a couple times. We didn't experience that at any other site. The bath houses are well maintained, but there are lots of bugs all the time. There are more and better showers at the central bath house, if that's important. The campground is overall pricier than I like, but it's good for the area. We will definitely stay here again.

A lovely campground. We enjoyed the nice stay here. The helpful manager let us stay in a full hook up for 5 days. Nice person named Heather. I highly recommend it. Just be patient and ask for a full hook up when you get there

Nice Campground
Nice campsites, not too close together, clean, level, has pull thru and back in sites, some with w/e. Many back in sites are VERY difficult to back in as they aren't angled for the one way roads as most campgrounds are, dumb. Guy next to us with a big rig needed a dozen moves to get in. Bathhouse was clean. Cell signal was decent, we didn't use their wifi. After fees and taxes and a Good Sam discount was about $42 night.

Pow Pow Pow
Hi, well if you are into gun shooting this is the place for you! Shooting range really close by. Totally freaked my dogs out for the first few hours until they got used to the non-stop shooting. Shooting is from sun up to sun down. Other than that we had a challenge leveling our 36 RV. Park is clean. Probably won’t walk up to the bath house. Bang, bang, bang! Glad we are only here two days. Dogs will be happy to leave.

Our Stay
My wife and I stayed here for a week end while visiting a local winery. We had a great time,Park is very clean and easily laced out to get your rig into the sites. Bathrooms are well maintained! The park host comes by to greet you and see if there is anything you need. We will be back again soon.

Great Typical Park
Good variety of playgrounds for kids (3 different locations around the park), frisbee golf, water park (campers get discount), and hiking trails. Camp hosts were super friendly, sites were spaced out nicely, bathrooms were clean. Dump station available if you don’t get a full hookup site. Our 4 kids ages 4-8 loved it here.
