The park was very nice, and had lots of shade on the sites. My only complaint is most of the sites are not level and Slants down hill. They could use more light in the park. It is really dark out and you couldn’t see in front of you. The water park was great, but they need a pool in camp ground, so you don’t have to pay to go swimming

Excellent Place - Close To DC
Pohick Bay was an excellent campground and was close to DC for an excursion into the city to visit the Mall. The facilities were clean and well maintained.

Overall Excellent
This is a huge park with tons of things to do. For the water lover, there is a great boat launch. For the part time boater, there are boat rentals including canoe, stand up board, Jon boat, and pedal boats. There is also a mini water park called Pirates Cove, with a nearby mini golf course and disc golf course.
There are tons of trails, beautiful views of water, and of course a well maintained RV park that includes a few rental cabins.
This place is great, about 1000 acres (I think), and is pretty close to DC (though no convenient nearby transportation options into the city).
