Rip Off
Stayed here due to recommendation of a friend. Was told it was waterfront camping and they have a Castaways Club- gated area. We took the bait and paid $140/ night for a small site - not waterfront. Don’t bother trying to call the place via their toll free number. No one ever answers the phone and if you leave a message they never return your call. The beach is a nasty joke. And to get to a decent “real” beach is 9 miles away (Assateague). Which, by the way, I would suggest camping at (Assateague State Park). If you want a crowded park with lots of kids and kid activities- then this is your place. For us, we prefer a little more open space and more nature.

Nice But Pricey
We called last minute Columbus Day weekend and were able to grab a cancellation. First time at a castaways and I don't think we'll come back. There's at least 200 spaces and it was completely booked which meant tons of traffic, mostly golf carts, everywhere. It was also very loud. We have three kids 5 and younger so they go to bed early. It was after midnight before the partying stopped and we could sleep. It's a beautiful resort but we didn't sample any of the pools or bathrooms for our trip so can't review those. It's nice to have a private beach here. It's not super big but my kids had fun. also really appreciated the shuttle to ocean City. Its definitely not worth $75 per night for us but seems to be for others. $3.50/washer to do a load of laundry is down right robbery and $38 /night for a golf cart? Might as well get a hotel room. It's also definitely not camping, but we're from the intermountain west so camping means something different to us.

Clean Facilities
We've stayed 2 twice this year. Lots of activities for kids, friendly staff. Depending on your site location having a golf cart would be recommended. Plenty of room for larger campers. We will be going back next year.

Great Place, Nice People
We were just there for 2 weeks and really had a nice time. The staff is very nice and the campers are friendly. We have been coming here for multiple years and it has always been pristine. Not this year though. We were disappointed in the trash and the condition of the sites. For the money, it should be very well maintained. We picked up a lot of trash which seemed to be there for quite some time. The staff is very nice. We can't give them 5 stars this year.
