We Love It

We go yearly and look forward to this trip each year. Idk what people are talking about with close proximity. The trailers aren’t that close together. I saw someone mention good luck putting out awning. We had no issue and plenty of Room. Close to awesome trails and fun adventures sight seeing at the beach. The restaurant has good food and it’s just a great atmosphere.

Nice Place

This is a quaint little campspot with several camping options from a lodge to cabins to tent cabins and RV hookups. A little isolated from other things, but nice for a get away. Pricey, but nice restaurant on site. Showers and toilets are clean. Beach is a bit of a walk (1 mile?) and across the highway, but there is a large outdoor chess game, a children's playground and a little camp store on the grounds which are very nicely maintained.

Extremely Tight RV Spaces.

The amenities are top notch. That does come at a hefty price though. The biggest drawback and the reason we wouldn't return, the RV spaces are extremely close. Ridiculously close. We took friends for their 1st time camping and had to tell them you rarely come across campsites this close together. Tenting sites are bigger than the RV sites.

Expensive, but nice

We've taken the most expensive place that we found, dump station, electricity and water. We had a wonderful view on the ocean, just beautiful.

Not Fun

The KOA said I could not sleep in my truck tent. So, I had to stay at one of the Costanoa TENT cabins. The cabins had loose wires, holes (in the tent), I went to the resort bar and had a burger. Which on the menu was $17 but my check was $35. They said it was for the change of the season. Left the bar...went outside to smoke. Security stopped me and said I cannot smoke at resort/campground. Went to the cabin ($75 a night). Sat outside to have a beer. Security showed up and said I cannot drink except at the bar. Next morning I was charged $8 for one black coffee. NEVER STOP HERE!!!!

Not Santa Cruz

Great views if you are at the end of a loop but the sites are ridiculously close together. Forget putting out your awning. Also, this park is more than 30 minutes from Santa Cruz...it is closer to Half Moon Bay. Friendly staff but I wouldn't stay again.

Loved this place! A little high on the price. We loved the hike to the beach, quiet and clean grounds. Had dinner and Mother's Day brunch at the restaurant on the premise. Overall experience was excellent. Would stay here again.

Escape

Pros: Beautiful spot off of Hwy. 1. Great hike to the beaches that aren't crowded. Friendly staff. Cons: Not too much for kids to do. The BBQ/Picnic area was filthy and littered with trash the three nights we stayed. Just needs some TLC.

Great Place

We love this place. Great views and nice sites. The bathrooms are fairly clean. There is almost no cell phone service which we really enjoy. Leave your tablets and WiFi devices home!

Just happened on to camp grounds, people very friendly and beautiful views.
