We just spent 5 days camping here and absolutely loved it! The people that run it are all friendly and super helpful. We needed help several times as we are fairly new to the RV camping world. It was quiet with little spots to sit and enjoy the views of the Redwoods or the river. The heated pool, basketball and baseball areas, and other activities were a bonus for our teenagers. There is access to the state park right next door. Felton is 5 minutes away with a Safeway, CVS, several food options, and of course Roaring Camp Railroad, where you can ride a steam train into the beautiful Redwoods. We can’t wait for our next trip to Smithwoods!

Lots Of Room For Improvement
For the price we paid it should have been better. The grounds could use some cleaning up.
The park is about half filled with an odd combination of mobile homes and RV's that look like they haven't been visited in a while.
Canopies deployed with a large amount of needles, and decks and fences built around some units that should be maintained.
Park is very quiet! Very restful!
If you want a quiet, woodsy experience, this park will fill the bill!

Most friendly park ever. Clean and quiet even when full. They have been the best park I've stayed at so far.

Friendly service, Great Location
Great, quiet park nestled in the redwoods with some of the best, friendliest service we have experienced. Some spots can be tight, and there are some permanent spots, but the park was very safe & tranquil even when full. There is a large hill down into the park and speeds bumps throughout, but they were manageable. The park is a very short drive or hike to Henry Cowell State Park and the restaurants in Felton.

Friendly & Quiet
Friendly and helpful people, nice quiet and beautiful park.
Tip: come from the Felton side instead of from Santa Cruz if you have a larger rig or else it's a very scary 6 miles.

Great place for a getaway.
Nice pool, nice staff. Quiet but good for kids. Some spots are tight but lots of trees and short walks to beautiful easy hikes.

Great Pool And Baseball Diamond.
Nice staff. Used to stay at SC redwoods RV next door but this is great for kids with a pool and better play area.
