Take It Or Leave It

Filled with local seasonals, many groups of different families. Only a couple of small river sites available because they are all seasonals. Neighbors were loud and up until who knows when, playing cornhole under basically spotlights. Bathrooms were ok, showers a bit nasty.. thankfully, didn't need to use them. I hear the new owners are really trying to bring it back to its glory after a flood. Small sites Def prefer state parks!

Stayed here for a week in August. Extremely quiet and very relaxing. I’m hoping to rent a site for a month in 2021.

This Campground closes on September 30th. Just thought everyone should know.

Hidden Gem

Made the reservation over the phone. The man I talked with was very friendly. After my navigation got us lost , not the parks fault, we arrived. You travel down a gravel road may be 1/2 mile and you are there a beautiful hidden gem. The owner met us long the road. He was doing some tree trimming along the road. Being a retired park owner it always warms my heart when I see park owners hard at work making things better for us campers. Check in was easy and we were lead to our site. And wow the sites here are huge and lots of trees and shrubs. But not so many trees that prevented us from getting a Sat. signal. Got set up and went exploring. This place is vast and the riverfront sites are also huge. These owners are doing things right. Huge spaces and a friendly camping experience. We already have this on marked on our best parks to revisit list.
