Cute, Quaint, And Perfect Stop Over
Don't let the other reviews scare you off! We stopped on our way back from the beach, perfect for overnight! Not a resort - no pool, no luxury amenities. BUT if you need a quiet place to rest a night, in some shade, level and gravel sites. This is the epitome of the down home Mom and Pop. No website, no answering machine. Hours: M-F 6a-1p, Sat 8a-1p. Call during those hours. Chrystal was who helped us, we called still hours away. She stayed & waited for us. Most sites are permanent residents, there are probably about 5-6 sites not occupied regularly. She walked us to our site. The little store / restaurant is just that, adorably quaint! Closed, but we were inside to get checked in. We are self contained, did not use bath/showers/ or laundry. Had 50/30, full hook ups. We are 40 ft 5th wheel, no problems. Easy on and off interstate. Hospitality and accommodating our arrival time is why this is 5 star. Small town America at it's finest, perhaps an unpolished Mayberry!

It’s Ok.
Stayed one night. Tried to call, no answer. Not bad here. Quite a few shady spots. Owners were gone on an emergency, a couple of the residents helped us. Mostly residents.

RV Trailer Park
Office hours: M-F 6am-1pm Sat 8-1pm Sun: closed. This is a privately owned business. Daily rate: $26 weekly:$75. Has a feeling more of RV park rather then camp ground. More permanent residence, then daily. Campsites are not labeled. Owners are very nice and helpful. Didn’t see much children. People hang outside a lot. Negative: near two streets, lots of traffic noise. Hard to sleep if easy sleeper. People are accustom to their routine, will park in your camp spot regardless of your space. Trees drop nuts, wakes one up at night. As a whole good spot, clean. Close to fair grounds. Neighbor to Park. Stores and interstate nearby. People are not mean. Store and breakfast (not free) at office.

This campsite is representative of Stephen's City - antique. The campsites were small and close together, but sufficient for a variety of sizes. There were two unisex bathrooms with showers, but could use some updating. Good thing was there was hot water.
