Pleasant Stay

Used this spot as a basecamp for the night while we went to the McDonald Observatory for a star party. Beautiful, rustic 100 year old ranch. The restroom is a little on the rough side, but keep in mind that this is a very old property. You can ride horses here...we saw deer and javelina in the evening. Beware of nasty goat head stickers in the grassy areas if you have pets. Paid $15 with my PA discount. Sites have power, water, and sewer.

Great Spot Just Past State Park

The main hookup sites are almost level and have bathrooms nearby, which, although basic, are adequate and clean, with hand soap and paper towel. There is a another RV area with hookups further on with a better standard bathhouse close by, but we did not see these. A lovely, quiet area, just 5 miles from Fort Davis on the scenic loop road. PA is welcome here and makes for a great deal. Horse riding is available (amongst other activities) although we didn't have time to enquire further about this. We would be happy to stay here again.
