Beautiful View

Stayed a couple of days. Plenty of room. Asphalt spaces. Our space was shaded. Staff was very friendly.

Great Location

First time to be in South Dakota, I found this campground on Park Advisor. The young couple who own this park are extremely nice and accommodating. It over looks Rapid City and it’s a great spot to park your RV and see the sights. We stayed here for 7 nights. Most sights are pull through. We have a 36’ motorhome and towed a doily with a small car. Our rig totals about 52’ and we were able to leave the doily hooked up to the motorhome. It’s on Mt Rushmore Blvd and it’s easy access to all attractions. Neat and clean.

Been Here Before...GREAT VIEW!!!

We have stayed here before, about 4 years ago. Tom and Carey the owners are wonderful people, they will do just about anything to accommodate you. Bathrooms are really nicely laid out except they could use some floor cleaning in the showers and around the urinals, at least while we were there. This park is pretty much central to just about anything you want to see around Rapid City Sturgis Black Hills or Custer Park. Don’t know when I’ll be back to Rapid City, but if I do I will probably be staying at this facility.

Pretty Nice Place, But overpriced A Bit

$57.75 a night. Should be $38 max. Otherwise , clean and comfortable.

Just For An Overnight

Tight spots and play structure was leaning, had garbage. Pool looked clean, but we didn’t swim. If you’re just looking for a place to park overnight with hookups, then it works.

Nice people nice place clean restrooms. Would come again. Just wish it was on a flatter surface on a hill but still nice.

Great Experience!

We came in late at night. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Bathrooms were impeccably clean. Not a ton of amenities, but great for what we needed!

No Problems!

We recently stayed 4 nights here. Owners were pleasant and attentive. Great location as jumping off point for all area attractions. Bathrooms and showers are clean and complete. Wifi worked great for our kids at night. Spaces are tight, but if you spend your days out enjoying all there is to do in the Rapid City area, this is perfect place to park you RV as home base. Would easily stay here again!

Good Location

Western SD is rustic and hilly, so I accept that. The park is not new, owners had to unexpectedly put in new sewer shortly after they bought it, had to be a huge expense to them. Wifi wasn't real good and owners said it should improve as providers were working on it. Hardly the owners fault and it did soon improve dramatically. Laundry machines are older, but they get the job done and replacement probably isn't in the budget right now. As far as sites being close? I've been in tighter for more money. Rows are 30 or 50 amp so that may explain why it looks like some rows are packed full and other rows have room. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again or recommend it to others.

Sites so close together it's hard to negotiate your RV. Very noisy due to road traffic and hard for pets because designated dog sites were either down a lot of steps or next to the highway. Won't be staying there again.

Not Stellar

Only benefit is that it's close to downtown. Overpriced and falling apart to be nice. the pavement is crumbling, track tons of rock in, bath house is a little gross and owners like to bunch ppl together when plenty of space open. Other campers were rude as well...won't be coming back as this stay encouraged me to boondock!

OK, But...

Sitting right beside major highway, so lots of traffic noise. New owners trying hard to improve this property. Great location for sightseeing. Water is horrible! Even with 2 filters on our RV, dishes have a white film on them. Sulphur smell.
