Nice Campground. Friendly owners. Very clean. Would use again.

Beautiful Quiet Campground

The campground is beautiful simple quiet and close to the beach. The price is higher than what's published but that's to be expected with beachfront property. Sites were flat and elegant for a campground.

Nice Spot

We couldn't get into the National Park places. Ocean waves worked just fine. Had fun neighbors. Easy walk to the beach. Restrooms old but fine. You have to visit Ocracoke Island.

Camping Ocean Waves

We loved camping at Ocean Waves Campground. I think we had the best spot onsite. We were located among trees in the shade. Lot was great size and we were not crowded. The management was great, very kind, and stopped by to visit and make sure everything was alright, even brought our little dog a treat. The people staying around us were polite and we visited a lot and helped each other out when needed. The most relaxing trip to the beach we ever had.

We've stayed here on offshore fishing trips, many times with our camper and even more times with 2 to 3 campers, owners and staff are very friendly and helpful in getting all of us beside each other, price is very good, in the middle of a lot of activities...

Gorgeous Location

We had the best place in the park, and were surrounded by beautiful trees. It's a very short walk to the beach. The showers are ok, but the bathrooms are not heated and it was almost too cold to take a shower....Didn't see them being cleaned at all in 5 days....WiFi is good.

Small awesome family owned campground strict rules but that's what makes it great! Prices are also great! Very clean and helpful should any problems arise.

Great Stay

Although we are retired, we were camping with friends who work—weekend stay. We would have loved to stay even longer. Nice sites, a little close maybe but not a problem when you consider the beach is only 300 yards away from our front door. Didn’t use the restrooms so can’t speak to that.

Too Many Old People

The place was very nice and the people that work there were very nice other than there was a lot of old people and a couple of them really grumpy and bitchy about dumb things

Nice camp sites. Something for everyone - nice winter rates for ocean front.

Very nice campground. Good access to the beach. And most of all it's very quiet. As for some of the reviews saying the owners are not friendly, I did not get that feeling. Everyone was very nice. And as far as being strict on the rules, being that way makes it more enjoyable for everyone else. And the rules that they have are not hard to abide by. We will definitely be back.

Great small and quite campground. Very strict on rules which to me makes it great!!! Very friendly and helpful staff. Great people. Highly recommend. One of the few places on the island with trees.
