Good Site But Rules Not Enforced

Got here on a late Friday, set up and was ready for a relaxed weekend. After sunset a RV down from us set up speakers outside and we were blasted by vulgar rap music until 12 midnight. Filed a complaint that morning before going on the beach. Walked down the beach and there were several young people blasting rap from a boom box. All in all if you complain the whole thing gets worse, if you walk around the park you are called boomers. Not my best experience with management.

Best Campground In The Outer Banks.

We stayed oceanside and were only 50 yards from the ocean. Even in the off season this is the best place in the outer banks. No reason to look any further. Just book it.

Enjoyed

Clean, had a great time! We'll go back. The last night, we left early, around 2:00 a.m. in the morning, because a major tropical storm hit with tornadoes, flooding, sand washing across the highways, etc. Other than that we had a blast!

I had an enjoyable time at the camp July 1, 2021 However, I was disappointed that the first thing I saw as I drove in were Trump 2024 flags. Can we give it a rest, especially celebrating the 4th?

Nice Place To Spend A Few Days

We spent 4 nights here while vacationing in OBX. This campground is a little remote compared to other activities at the Outer Banks, but that’s what some people are looking for and we found it to be nice and relaxing. The site was decent with a level pad, The proximity to the beach was super convenient and the playground was enjoyed by our group. The campground was only about 30% full when we were there, I think it would’ve seemed crowded if everybody had been in camp but we would come here again a little pricey though.

We stayed 10 days this August, while this campground is my favorite for 24 years, I’m worried that management has forgotten to enforce rules. Barking dogs, multiple Cars on campgrounds, rap music playing loud on gas powered golf carts were constant! This never was allowed before! For the cost of this campground it is unacceptable! I truly hope they clean up their act!

We camped here off season for fishing and relaxing. The customer service is excellent and so are the facilities. Sunset on the sound side. Fish were biting!

Great campground friendly staff. Had a storm first night there with 3 inches rain but it ran off great no puddles. All paved roads with concrete pads plenty of room

Everything You Need

We started here for Memorial Day weekend 2019. There is so much to do at the campground that you don't feel like you need to go anywhere. They have multiple pools, beach access, sound access, mini golf, playground, and probably more that I'm forgetting. The Rec staff does an amazing job of planning activities for the guests. They really made our weekend that much more enjoyable.

Ok For The Price And View

Nice campground could use a bit of updating for kids. Playground is somewhat dismal compared to other big campgrounds. Not much to do in the game room either would love to see the catch on to what other parks are doing for family’s. But the staff was great and events for older people. Kids made do and we had a great time. Thank goodness for the indoor pool.

Great Park

We just got back home for this Hatteras and already missing it. The staff was outstanding and the others campers were great. We were on the Oceanside of the campground and easy walk to the ocean, pool, and bath house. We will be back.

New Favorite Destination!

Camp Hatteras has it all. The kids stayed happy the whole trip! The indoor pool and putt-putt were a lot of fun when we weren't able to be out on the beach. The large grassy sites were perfect for group games and gatherings. Employees were helpful and kind. Concrete pads at this campground are a great size for just about any rig, and a major improvement over other area campgrounds. We loved our stay and will definitely come back again! The location of this campground is perfect for trips to several area lighthouses, Jockey's Ridge, or historical museums.

What Is Not To Like?

Fantastic location, friendly and helpful staff, indoor and outdoor pools, great beach, reasonable rates, oh and did I mention clean facilities.

Very happy with camp Hatteras RV park it's very clean and kept up,my wife and I stayed water front on the pamlico sound side and found the sunsets to be absolutely spectacular, the sites are all level concrete pads yes the do charge for each of our dogs and a daily cost for cable but gave us a discount for being a good sams member , we will be back enjoyed our stay on the sand bar very much!!

Doesn't Get Much Better

Went down late October, very end of season. Camped right behind the dune with full hookups. It was clean, very well equipped, friendly... did I mention full hookups right behind the dune??? :-) We are self-contained and go to the beach for the beach, so the plethora of wonderful amenities are wasted on us, but they're there if you wish to partake. Love this place!!! There's full hookups right behind the dune!
