We stayed there 3 weeks this summer; no Wi-Fi, no cell service, pool was dirty, most of all - they mowed the yards finally after 2 weeks there & it looked as if it was not mowed. This could be a wonderful place if it was taken care of! I will NOT stay there again.

Awesome For Families
We unfortunately were only able to stay one night and wished we would have been able to stay longer. We had actually stumbled across this campground last second after getting a refund from our original destination...everything definitely happens for a reason! There was live music, freshly baked pizza delivered to your site, hand scooped ice cream, golf cart rentals, ponds for fishing, multiple play areas, marshmallow shoot out and more!!!

Rude And Packed
The employees that parked us were very rude. The site was so close to the others that if we put our slides out we would probably have hit them. And there was absolutely no social distancing going on. All that said the ladies in the office were nice, and gave me a full refund cheerfully. And we moved on down the road.

Good For Kids
We have gone here two times now. This seems to be the safe place to take the camper for the first time each year. It’s about a 1.5 hour drive for us. Sites have full hook ups. Power, water, waste hook up, tv. We have Version and have no problem with our phones. Most spots seem to be taken by long term campers. Spots by the small playground are open, and even bigger spots up behind the outdoor movie theater. If you have a longer camper go up there. They have two playgrounds for kids. A pool two main bathhouse with showers and toilets. Some smaller spots for there cabins and tents. In the summer they have themed weekends for the kids. Lots of activates during the day and more at night. Not the most remote or quiet, but is a good spot if you have kids. Also have a good amount of trails to walk around.

Nice Campground
Nice campground, level spot - only had to add 3/4" board on one side to level up. Each spot had it's own water and electric hookup. Some long term folks but clean and no issues. Nice shower facilities. Only negative is in direct line of approach into MCI depending on weather.

Great place with Pizza and wings delivery. Easy in and out for big rigs. A little hard to find but well worth it . We will stay here again.

Basswood RV Resort & Country Cabins
We stayed at Basswood in August 2016 and never had a problem. We arrived a day early, and the staff was very gracious and accomodating.
Other than some layout changes that turned some of the paved access roads into pull-through sites, everything else was spot-on to the advertising. We had a problem on our end with the CATV, two of the staff members came to our rig, and did their best to help us. Yes, there are some long-term campers here, and a few rows look kinda trashy, but overall, the Basswood RV Resort is a good value given it's proximity to KC.
They have 4 lakes, and an in-ground swimming pool with a Splash-Pad.
Playground, Dog Park, General store, Pizza can be delivered right to your site, laundry, game room and more!
******One negative though, it's directly in the final approach for Kansas City International Airport, be advised that you will hear and see passenger jets arriving every 5 minutes or so until dark!

A nice resort. We only used the camping facilities. The lawns have a dog urine smell to them. Otherwise clean. Nice level pads.

Great Place!
Great place to get away for the whole family! There's something to do for everyone (swimming, games, fishing). The grounds and facilities are very clean & well maintained. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The only negative is due to being so close to Kansas City International Airport and that is the numerous planes overhead that are landing. If you're looking for absolute quiet, then this isn't for you. But, if the planes won't bother you, then this a must visit place to stay. We stayed over the Memorial Day weekend and it was a popular destination for many. We will return again.
