Lovely Small Quiet Campground
Stayed a week in June. Very pleasant and very close to all things Truman. Even did day drive in car over to Eisenhower in Abilene’s KS (don’t forget to swing by OZ Museum kinda on the way!) spacious lots with no obstructions. Reasonable rates in the low $40’s. Showers, bathroom, laundry. A few trains, no Highway noise. Will stay again.

Super, Super, Super
We play travel softball in the summer and stay at Campus RV whenever we're in Kansas City. It's just right in every way. My wife and daughter seem very content and our little poodle loves the big fields. Facilities are nice and clean.

We stayed last night and left this morning. This campground was clean, nice, and the camping sites were so easy to get in and out of. There was a huge field with soccer goals for kids, very nice place that was affordable.

The office folks Don, Dan, and Leslie are great people, and will do whatever it takes to make your stay comfortable. My wife and I intended on staying a short while but because of some health issues they were very accommodating. We will definitely be back when we get back in the Kansas City area.

Quiet But Close
This is a quiet, clean park to stay at. It’s nothing like a resort but the price is right and the hook ups functional. Some nice history in the immediate area. It worked for us.

We Would Come Back
Just a simple RV park with well-spaced, cement, full hookup sites, and a play field for your kids. Not much else but that is all we needed. Easy to get in and out, and clean and well-kept. We didn't use the showers or laundry so can't speak to that. The staff were very friendly.

Campus RV Park, Independence, MO
A basic one-night stop on the way to somewhere else. A single row of too close, paved RV spaces, with full hookups. There is a cleanish laundry room and clean, but old bathrooms in need of updating. The replaceable, shower head-hung baskets were rusty and way overdue for replacement. Close to Truman's Western Whitehouse home and within striking distance of Kansas City. Come in from the east to avoid missing the entrance sign and the impossible left turn that immediately goes uphill. The crotchety man who runs the place did allow us to change to the space pictured, which is one of two with any shade (all that blacktop makes for a hot campsite in summer). As in most RV parks, the advertised wi-fi was a joke.

Close To Attractions
Good level sites close to all attractions in the Kansas City metropolitan area. Rates are very fair, everyone we met were friendly. Spent four full days touring and needed twice that about of time.

Very quiet RV park. Close to stadiums for Royals and/or Chiefs games. Facilities were old but clean and in working order. Laundry room onsite. Concrete pad with picnic table was fairly level and well shaded with large trees. Electric, water and sewer. Only complaint was Site 1 water spigot was so close to ground our water hose kinked. Will stay again if our travels bring us back this way.
