Blue Springs Lake Campground
We spent 4 nights here and could not be more pleased. Just a fantastic county run park that is in a great location. We highly recommend this place!!!

We have stayed multiple nights on two separate occasions. Campground is clean and quiet. Staff was friendly and helpful. Easy to get on the interstate and see the local sites in MO and KS. Our only issue was not all sites have sewer so for our 5 night stays it was inconvenient to dump grey tanks so try to reserve a site early if you want/need this amenity. We would stay there again if in the area.

Convenient to everything in independence and Lee Summit. Didn’t like the gravel sites, thought host were a little rude about guest, but did keep people out that had no business being there. Have to buy firewood there can’t buy at Walmart and bring in.

Rock Star Campground
Very quiet, clean and organized. Friendly hosts and very nice shower/laundry facilities. Level sites. Great base for visiting KC with fast access to highways

Nice Surprise
We were passing through the area and needed a one night stay. The campground is very neat and clean and has a controlled gate. We have a 42” 5th wheel that we were able to pull into one of the few pull through sites, but even a back into site would have been fine. It was quiet and a nice place to camp. We plan to return and stay for a few days.

Stayed here for 4 night during 4th of July & had a very pleasant experience. We used the dump station, laundry station & the shower house & all was nice. Playground for the kids was wonderful & no rowdy campers on our end. Site #26 was a wonderful spot with a direct view of the playground but no sewer there.

Beautiful RV Park
So pretty. Nice large sites. Wish we could have stayed longer. Very friendly folks.
Easy in and out. Did have to disconnect keep and back in.

It’s a nice park, but making reservations is a pain. The park is gated and checking in after 9pm is not possible. The grass is about 10” tall and doesn’t seem like it gets cut, but the camp hosts area is mowed. Limited to 14 days stay in a month. No WiFi. But it’s pretty, quiet, well laid out. Backing my 38’ coach into the site was easy. The roads are a bit narrow. I would recommend.

Great Park
Stay here often. Nice clean, safe, close get away. Excellent staff and clean facilities. Park is well maintained. Nice mix of locals and people passing through.

Great Layover Place
Nice people, clean park. It much to it, but perfect for an overnight or two stay to see the sites in Kansas City! Quiet too! No complaints. Ok....the bugs could carry you away!

Pretty, Clean, Gated, Cheap
What’s not to like? They even take plastic for payment and have a senior discount. Tip: only the middle restroom has showers; didn’t use, so not in my rating.

Retirees
This a very well maintained park. Large sites and nature all around! Very quiet setting. Great for winding down after a lot of hours on the road. Have fire pits and picnic tables at every site. Management was very friendly and very professional. Will definitely return to this campground!

Retired Guy
Nice quite and convenient to highway and shopping. We felt safe and at home there. Only complaint is that they could mow a little more often but I think they had some big rains before we arrived. Book ahead if you're visiting on a weekend.

Beautiful Campground
This campground is very well maintained, clean, quiet and very secure. Incredibly easy to get to from interstate and gas near by. Would recommend it to any one!

Part Time Camper
Excellent condition and very friendly staff. We use it often for quick get-aways. We've never been disappointed. Good mix of travelers, weekenders, and vacationers. Definitely make a reservation in advance as it fills quickly being so close to the city.

Retired United Airlines
We stayed here on September 19th and found everything to be clean well taken care of. We used the showers and found the fatalities to be in fine working order. The owners suggested we gather pears, which grow on the trees in the camp ground, and visit the elk and bison enclosure and feed the animals. This was a fun experience! There, we found a large bull elk that was VERY hungry and did not mind posing for our pictures!
This campground is quiet and we will visit again!

Blue Springs Lake Campground
This was one of the cleanest and prettiest campgrounds I've stayed in. Sites were level and spacious. Great views from the site and very quiet. Close to everything in KC yet you felt miles away. Make sure to explore Fleming Park and feed the Elk and Buffalo.

Awesome!
Made reservations several weeks in advanced. Arrived on Friday night for two days of R & R. The camp host had our paperwork and a map of our camp site ready. Nice and clean camping facility. Staff were very friendly and helpful. My wife and I will be back.

We called to make a reservation, and the lady said they didn't make same day reservations to just show up and they would get us a place, that the book showed they had several spots open. We got there at 9:10 p.m. And they wouldn't take us, said they closed at 9! They did come and left the gate so we could pull threw, and they did have some spots open. Not very impressed, if I was in that area again I wouldn't use them!
