Under New Ownership

We were leary about staying here. Old reviews were very unfavorable. Several newer, more positive write-ups caused us to check it out. We were glad, came for 3 nights and stayed 9. The campground is under new ownership as of Sept 2019. It is an older facility but the new owner, Mitul, is making improvements. The pull through sites are on a hill but they are terraced and level with concrete tracks to park your wheels on. I had no problem aligning our motorhome on them. My wife and I found the park peaceful. She commented how safe she felt walking the dogs in the evening. There is some noise from the highway. You have expect that when your close to the interstate. The campground itself was quiet. It's very close to the National Park and anything else you might need. There is some old inaccurate literature on the campground circulating in print and online. There is no Wifi. The laundry facility is small. The pull through sites are 50A. The rate was fair. We had a nice stay in Vicksburg.

Could be a scene/place straight out of the movie “Deliverance”. Although my wife and I have a high tolerance for “mediocre” places, this place is FAR below mediocre! Totally run down and unworthy of even being called a campground. Wouldn’t even consider giving this place one star but had to because the App requires a rating. Sadly Meth use must be rampant, judging by the appearance (teeth rotted away, sore spots all over the face) of the receptionist. Fortunately there was a very nice RV place nearby, called Magnolia which we CAN recommend.

Do Not Go Here

We pulled up in our class a motorhome. Before I could get out someone was already walking around my rv scoping it out. He then walks to my door where I have my family located in the coach and asks for a smoke. Place is totally bad!!

I hate to post bad reviews, but I don't know where the 3.8 stars came from. Whew....pretty scary
