Hard To Get Ahold Of
The Rv park is well kept and the pads are concrete. They are not all level so with a 45ft motorhome it’s hard to get level. I tried for two days to reach the park by phone. I arrived after hours and chose a spot, 70% was open on a May Saturday night. Went to the hotel next door and checked in.

Pretty Painful
Called hotel first and they told me I needed to talk directly with the RV park. Called the number they gave me and got a message with promise of return call. No call back. Found a way to reserve on line. Got to park around 3:00 and no-one in the office but sign said call hotel desk. As I said, day prior the desk claimed ignorance of all things RV. No luck.
Found a number on reservation and spoke with gentleman who gave me the same numbers I’d been calling. Picked a spot and parked.
In any case, customer service is an afterthought to non-existent. Garbage cans around park are full and sites with shade haven’t been trimmed and the best of them are unusable due to roof clearance.
We’re not terribly picky, are self contained and don’t usually hang out in casino RV parks, but if is the best they can do, we won’t be sampling any of the other entertainment or food service offerings. Recommendation is you move on down the road. Recommendation to Ameristar is sell the place to new mgt.

Okay
Even though I was not able to make a reservation by phone or on website, we took a chance and stopped here to see if anything was available.
Very nice lady in the office got us into a spot without any problems, on a late Friday afternoon. Park didn’t get full or even close to it, the one night we stayed.
Some of the pads were cracked, but ours, #64, worked fine for us.
I don’t know about the restrooms and showers
didn’t have to use them.
Walked to the casino, we were not impressed. Had a good stay, but the dog didn’t like the railroad tracks being close enough to hear.
Easy to get there off I-20 and easy to get back on the interstate.

New Changes
No WiFi, cable or service to casino. 5-50 amp spots don’t work. Reservation to took me 28 minutes on phone to make a simple reservation. Person on the phone spoke broken English. She never got my email, name or RV length correct. I could not understand the confirmation number she tried to give me. Next morning a nice lady called me to confirm my info. She said folks complain all the time about their reservation service. I think they are out of state or country. With all of these issues it is still worth coming for a 1 or 2 night stay

Stayed two nights in a 32 foot Class A towing. No one in the office when I arrived at 4P (sign says office hours are 8:30A-4:30P). But my reservation info was taped to the door. Checked in the next morning at 9:30A, still no one in the office. Per instructions, called hotel front desk. Lady at front desk can't find my reservation
and says that someone should be in the office the next AM. The RV CG seems to be the red headed step child of the hotel/casino.
Anyway, the assigned site was level but, as others have noted, quite narrow. Utilities are at the back of the site so, depending upon the location of your wet bay/electrical hookup, this might be a problem. There is no WiFi or cable TV but there are plenty of OTA stations. So if you need an internet connection, you'll need to set up a hot spot on your phone. There is some road and train noise but nothing that will keep you awake. I'd stay here again if in the area

Good For Overnight
This is our second time staying here. 5 years ago it was maintained better, had cable and now no cable. Sites are very close together. The grass needed cutting. The restaurant at the casino was very good

Easy in & Out
I'm not sure why nobody mentions that the trains run by here all night. They don't blow their whistles (thank God), but you know they're passing by. Nice showers, restrooms & laundry.

Disappointed
Attempted to make a reservation but called for 3 days and could never get anyone on the phone. Got and operator 1 time but was transferred to a number that no one answered.

There is no shuttle service to the casino as I was told when I made the reservation. The cable service is very spotty and the staff does not know which sites have the service and which don't. Space 60 doesn't.
There was no problem putting our slides out. Trees were not in the way. The staff was very pleasant but not very helpful.

Level & quiet park. Interesting area deep in history. Casino across the street if you want to throw money around. Close to gas & Walmart

So So
This is really a 3.5 but I gave it a 4 due to its close proximity to the battlefield. There is even a fort right across the street. The positives: again, very close to the battlefield; level pads; clean restrooms and laundry; and small yards with picnic tables on every site. The negatives: limited amenities, including no WIFI which is almost impossible to comprehend in this day and age; non-responsive office; and last but far from least: rude check-in clerks. As a side note, we came to see the battlefield but also dropped into the casino for about an hour. It's very smoky so we left. There is a non-smoking section but we noticed quite a few smokers in that area and the staff wasn't doing anything about it.

Stayed overnight but didn’t know there were battlefields and history things to see or we would have stayed another night. Checkin very friendly and recommended great place for dinner. Pool closed, potholes in several places but small hill in and out no problem! Choose spot when you reserve and be specific if you have multiple slides for minimal trees. We didn’t and had to move because trees in way of slides. Very accommodating to move but a few sites we wanted were reserved although no one pulled into them the night we were there.

The park should warn customers that the bathrooms are closed due to Covid. Thus park is good only for an overnight stay.

We stay here whenever we travel this way. The only complaint I have is it’s very difficult to make phone reservations. You might stay on hold for several minutes. Other than that, the park is neat, clean, quiet and friendly. Can’t ask for more than that!
The last review said something about a steep hill at the entrance/exit. It’s a small hill and not steep at all.

Awful
Our site was full of dog poo and trash from the previous occupants. Entry/exit is steep. Staff was friendly unfortunately there was a tornado and no instructions on where to go for safety.
This park is close to the battle fields.
Price reflects GS discount

Location
Location is great, easy in easy out, close to casino with free shuttle. Vicksburg battlefield very close. Would recommend for seeing sites nearby. Sites are big with a lot of space. Hard to reach by phone but it seems they are never full

Great Place..
Good place to stay if you're here for the history, great place if you're into the casino life. (We are not).
50 amp, $32.00, 30 amp, $25.00.
Full hooks, good green space, site's are decent size, place to hook up your tow'd.
We've stayed twice, once in '15 and again in '19.
We were here in a 40' motorhome and 2 schnauzers. No tow'd.

Clean, quiet, right off the interstate, flat paved sites. Little to no shade. WiFi was almost non-existent but our Antenna picked up lots of channels. The shuttle to and from the casino was a bonus. Would definitely stay again

Nice Place
We got a Good Sams discount. Lots concrete, picnic table. We’re told they were working on WiFi but cable was great. Security and shuttles to Casino. Some parking wasn’t flat, ours was. There was an older camper a couple spots down that it looked like they were remodeling while staying in another camper next door. They drank and played music loud until around 10:00. It really wasn’t bothersome while in RV. The working on the camper looked kind of bad. Lots of nice RV’s. I’d stay again. I felt safe and price was right.

Our Recent Stay
We stayed at the location while on a trip to Texas. We spent 2 nights at the Ameristar. We found the check-in process to be very easy and a easy place to unhook the dingy. The sites all had concrete pads and our was quite easy to level our motorhome front to back. There’s very little shade here so little chance of getting a site in the shade. I don’t know what others meant when they said cable TV because it was written across the check-in that you had antenna service only. But that wasn’t a problem since we didn’t come here to watch TV. Internet service, for the most part, was fine and was easy to access with little problems with response time. The park was clean and the grass had been freshly cut. The bathrooms, showers and laundry were located in the same building as the office. You were given a code that was needed if you need those facilities after 8:00PM. There are a good many things to do in Vicksburg especially if you are a Civil War buff. Would stay here again.

Good Quick Stop Over
Called in the morning from Texas got a site for the night. Got here after hours and all my paperwork was on the office door. Site was long enough for truck and TT. Didn’t even unhook. Site was level grass was nice and picnic table on site also. Pool only open during office hours was the only draw back. Free shuttle to casino is a bonus.

Above average Park. Kinda old so kinda tight, well maintained. Free Schulte to Casino. Stay away from Magnolia RV Park, take it from experience!

Great Value
Only stayed a few hours but great WiFi, nice dog run and cable is clear! Took shuttle to casino with door to door service.
Sites are clean and well maintained with security always rounding.
Casino is poorly ventilated so if your a non smoker bring a mask.

Poorly Placed Trees & Utilities.
No one was at office when we arrived. We had to call the hotel to get a site number. The site was just barely long enough for our big rig and toad. We had to disconnect the toad because the utilities are at the very back of the site. They planted trees at the very front of the site which I couldn't get around without scraping our motorhome. The wifi was poor but did work. The cable was very good. The utilities worked. Just poorly placed. I wouldn't stay again.

Not Bad
Called from the Vinyards cost us 26.70 a night ,site 4 not level had to use blocks on one side, nice office easy check in. Went to eat buffet at casino after 6pm was floored when I was told $49 for 2 ! Will stay again but skip casino not worth it .

You will pay the 50amp price even if you are 30amp. Only a few open spots, most of the park is full timers. Website advertising $22.50 but the real price is over $40 after fees and taxes.

Nice, But Be Aware
This campground works well for area - but be aware - it's located across street from Ameristar, not down the hill to the Casino. You will pass the casino driveway before rv park sign is visible. Wish there was road sign earlier. Good Value, wifi is wonderful.

Good Location..
Good place to stop if you like the casino life or if you want to be close to the Mississippi! There 7s a shuttle that takes you to the casino and I'm not sure if it will take you anywhere else. It is a clean park with lotsmof green space and places to walk the dogs. There is no pet run perse' but no biggie. People seem to pick up after their pets which is a bonus. It is a pretty ez in and out with good sites and pull thrus. We were here in November of 2015 in a 40' motorhome with no toad.
