Nice Stopping Pt ForTraverse City Area
Stayed last weekend in August. Campground full. Sites smallish but wooded pretty well. Some sites have hard to level conditions (front to back usually). Sites closest to busy rt 31 are noisy but close to beach access. Further back arequieter but longer walk to beach. Restrooms clean and well kept and fairly new. Good access to city, sleeping bear dune 1 hr away, and vineyards on peninsula north of town. Good for visiting area but not a destination for a week or more. Note Jet noise 15 or so times a day.

Choose Your Site Wisely
We camped in a smaller camper, at two separate sites for the weekend since they were pretty booked. Site 354 is very unlevel, we had a lot of trouble getting our camper safely unhitched from the truck without it trying to slide, no matter how we positioned it. This site would be great for a tent, but definitely wasn't for a camper.
Site 301 was great our second night! Level and clean.
The whole campground was well maintained. Showers were clean and loved being able to cross the foot bridge to the bay.

Close To Beach And Bike Trail Activities
It's a short walk to the pedestrian bridge to get to the beach. The beach is not dog friendly but you can go to the very west end of the park to get your dog some water time without much problem. It is connected to the bike trail and sidewalks that can take you to nearby activities, dining and shopping. The showers and restrooms weren't the cleanest. It was fairly quiet and the people were friendly.

Nice Bike Trail Nearby
Exact GPS at park entry: 44.74798, -85.55382
Use M-72 to reach the park entry from the west. There is a 13'-1" walkway bridge just east of the park entrance that may be a problem for really tall RVs.
Traverse City Recreational Trail is at the south border of the RV park.

Close To The Action
The campsite is across the road from the beach. There is an over cross above M-31. The staff was friendly. Electricity was available as well as a picnic table for each camp site. It is very shaded. It is close to all the wonder of Traverse City. The biggest down side was the proximity to the airport. Last flight was at. 11:00pm. The first flight is at 6:00am. The jets are loud. Overall I would repeat.
Cost was $31.
