Update: 9/07/23 Reduced to a four star campground. WiFi is no longer free. Cable was discontinued on 9/06/23. Tv now provided by Dish Streaming service for $$. June 14, 2020. Finally made it back since the campground opened on the 12th. The office has a new staff this year. Kelley is doing a fantastic job. May 21 to May 25 2018. This campground is beautiful. Wooded sites and sunny sites. Lake access on Silver Lake. The management have been updating this resort every year. Since we were here two years ago the following have been updated: new washers and dryers, new cable system with 60 channels, new trees have been planted. The staff keep the grounds and bathrooms very clean. Close to T. C. (Traverse City) and Interlochen. We have returned. This place is great!! July 22 through July 27 , 2018 . Very full this time of year. We will return when the boss can give us the time. Back today 8/30 for Labor Day Weekend.

Nice Campground, with Exceptions
Nice large big rig sites that are easily accessed. Park is located close to Traverse City and the Middle Peninsula. If you are located near the main office end of the park expect some road noise. Our 50 amp service kept tripping off with two AC units, but operated one AC, and the 110 volt service panel receptacle plug was inoperable. NO Motorcycles allowed in park, management allows parking at the Main Office parking lot but you have to walk or get a golf cart ride to your camp site. There was no issue washing our RV at our campsite.

Very Nice Park
We just finished a one week stay. Very nice park with nice folks in the office. It's well maintained with many mature trees for shade. There is a swimming beach and boat launch available. We were on site 222 which was spacious and grassy with a crushed stone landing pad, picnic table, and fire pit. There was a playground and another large grassy field available nearby for the kids. We had no problems getting level. All utilities worked as expected. Strong, fast WiFi and good T-Mobile signal. The internal roads are in good repair, paved and we had no problems navigating with our 40 ft motor home. Laundry available on-site for $2.00. We would definitely stay here again.

This is probably one of the nicest campgrounds we have stayed in . It is 10-15 minutes to downtown Traverse City and the Campground is beautiful. It is on Silver Lake and if your lucky enough to get a spot closest to the lake you will have access to beach within walking distance from your sight. It is a very well maintained campground and spots are spacious and very quiet. Very clean bathrooms and beautifully landscaped. We wished we stayed longer than a couple days and will be back here again hopefully soon!

Fantastic campground. Large lots, clean facilities. Beautiful beach and lake. Can’t wait to return and spend a whole week. So much to do up north in this area.

Great Place
This place is a gem. Great attentive staff, clean restrooms and close to ‘things to do’. Sites are level, gravel, spacious. Cheerful chipmunks greeted us each morning we saw deer on our walk and the lake is beautiful.

Beautiful
This campground is beautiful. Every site is great some wooded, some open. Love this place. There is some road noise but it very manageable. They are all full hook up sites with cable TV. They say they have WiFi but it is not reliable. Other than that this is the perfect place to spend several days while exploring the Traverse City area!! I would definitely come back and send all my friends to this campground.

We have been full timing now for 10 months and this is STILL one of our favorite campgrounds. I uploaded some pictures so you can see... still... they don't even begin to capture the beauty. This was an old airstream only park years ago and still has a lot of airstreams. The circular camp spites overlooking the lake are AMAZING - we were there for 3 weeks late August through September and the leaves were just starting to turn color. The managers were so incredibly helpful, we met some of the best people during our stay there as well, not to mention Traverse City is less than 10 minutes away! Each circular campground circle has its own playground, swing and really you can see the lake from any of them. We didn't have any noise whatsoever. The sites were large with beautiful flowers everywhere, trees, grass... what more could you want. We STILL pine for this sweet campground. Stay here!

Notice Enough But Noisey
Booked in May for mid Aug. If you want lakeside or quiet shady sites you better book Jan 2. The late bookers will be left with sites along a very busy road. We will leave a day early. Site has full hookup and has some shade. And each has a nice table and fire pit. They so offer Good Sam Discount. But the road noise during the day is a real turn off. This park is for seasonal campers who have the best sites booked for all season. But for those few it would be a nice campground.

Easy To Maneuver For Big Rigs
We had one of the open sunny pull through spots and got our 43' RV and 28' trailer in just fine. Great park, friendly people, not far from downtown Traverse City. Even though it was a "sunny" spot there were plenty of big trees to provide shade for our dogs.

Happy Campers
We really love the way this park is laid out. We had more privacy than most parks. Although their big rig sites were full they had plenty of other sites that worked for us.
