Great LocAtion And Great Staff

Did a 6 night stay with popup. Good WiFi, great location, quiet time was always respected and staff was excellent. The biggest problem I had was that my popup and my tow vehicle was large for the tent/popup section which was loaded with trees. The staff helped me to get it in. If I had more skill with the trailer it may have been easier. If you tent or your popup is small and you have small tow vehicle it is excellent to be in that area. I would love to stay there again but would need to make sure it is a site that is easy to get in. The rv area seemed very nice but they would not permit a popup in that section even though I was willing to pay the differential. Otherwise I would give them a 5.

Clean, fun pool, easy access to Acadia. Shower area needs benches and new shower heads.

Very Nice Campground

We had a nice shaded site for our RV that included a wooden platform for a tent for the kids. Nice sites, pool and playground. The only negative is that the wifi rarely worked but there was a guy working on a new system to make the wifi stronger. Cell phones worked for calls and texts but not for internet so a strong wifi system is critical. Kids used shower house and reported it was fine but noted that a bench in the shower stalls would have been really nice. Come prepared to hang your shower gear. Super nice office staff. They were always happy to answer our questions.

The Island’s Best!!

Only great things to say from this crew! Awesome location with access to trails right from the campground. Super helpful and patient staff. The heated pool was a big hit. Campground was beautiful, clean, and quiet. We’re already booked for next year! Thank you, Smuggler’s Den, for a great experience!

Mot So Great

Spent 4 nights in travel trailer. Neighbors partied to almost midnight 3/4 nights which encompassed 3 campsites with visitors. More than 15 people at the site with barking dogs , poop on the grounds from dogs around the campsite. 5th wheel pulled in next to me at 11pm(noise) more dog poop & barking. Party member cars arriving & parking in empty sites, No one from office showed up? I complained & wanted an empty site 3 spots down & was refused. Will I go back there? NO Way in hell.

Good Location

The island Explorer shuttle bus stops here so it's very convenient. Owners are onsite and very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Definitely stay here!!!
