Nice Older Campground On The Quietside
We have enjoyed this campground! The staff is friendly and helpful, the bathrooms are kept clean. The sites are all different but are maneuverable. The tent sites across the street are very nice with trees and open to a grassy center grove area with a volleyball net. It is an older campground in Maine so don’t come here thinking shiny and new. This is a quintessential Maine campground! A little quirky but great! There’s a camp store, firewood, pool, rec room and small playground for younger kids. The shuttle to Acadia stops here and you are close to some nice hikes along the rocky coast.

Ok BUT…
Nice location Quiet But… Sites a bit hard to maneuver. Garbage bin overflowing and a horrible site! Pool not very “heated”. Maintenance not up to par. Tent sites look nice and Rv sites tight.

Nice campground…adequate site size, shady, pleasant staff. Needed two boards to level our site #325. Somewhat weak WiFi but worked ok most of the time. Could stand a bit more maintenance but looked nice. Close to gorgeous Seawall area….picnic tables, bathrooms, few people. Very peaceful and quiet campground and area. Would stay again.

All Good
Everything you need. 30 minutes from Bar Harbor, but that’s OK. Very friendly staff, clean showers. Quiet and pretty laid-back. Would return.

Great
Stayed a week. Really enjoyed it. A little out of the way from Acadia but who cares. Super nice people. Well maintained.

Great, Secluded Location!
Spent a week here in August of 2017. Loved being far away from the Bar Harbor madness, however, there is an impressive Bus System to get you anywhere on the island. The Light House (within walking/biking distance) & surrounding rocky coast lines are beautiful (don’t miss sunset at the lighthouse). Campground is a bit far away from most other points of interest, but I found it easy to park everywhere except Bar Harbor. Be sure to eat at “Seafood Ketch”, was awesome, & reasonable! Clean Bath/Shower House. Good Laundry. Very Friendly! Nice clean pool. Nice size sites, with a few pull-throughs, each with a fire pit. Most sites were grassy, which was really nice, no much shade. Fairly small size, so book August early. Warnings: -Some small roads on the way in, but the staff warned/directed me to the best route in. -Due to either rain or being so close to the water?? I got eaten alive by mammouth MOSQUITOS! Bring plenty of DET or any other armament to protect yourself in the evenings.

Very clean bathrooms. Reasonably quiet in the wooded sites. It was one of the best places I have stayed. Very nice management. Considering the price as well, by far the best in the area.
