Nice Place

We stayed here 10 nights and found this place to be very quiet. This campground is close to the city, without the noise. I felt very safe here. Shower and bathrooms are clean, but as mentioned earlier, no ventilation. Laundry is no longer free. Plenty of space between campers. No complaints!

We had a wonderful stay!! Plenty of space between campers, the showers and bathrooms were clean, and the staff was very nice and informative. The park looked great, the grounds keepers had a lot of work after Hurricane Ida, and we thought they did a great job. Kudos to the staff!! We loved, loved the swamp tour we went to, it was great!!

Nice, Convenient Location, Good Price.

PROS: Nice campground on the bayou. Free laundry, free showers with plenty of hot water. Close to shopping and restaurants. You can get mail here and they will hold at the office. Orenda and Rakesha were great.... very friendly and helpful. They will accept the Senior lifetime National Park pass if your state reciprocates. If not, NO WORRIES..... If you are over 65 they will still give you a 50% discount. CONS: My only complaint is with the bathrooms. There is no ventilation, so they are always humid, wet floors, foggy mirrors, and no heat that I know of. Also, they are not as clean as they could be, or well stocked. Make sure there is toilet paper BEFORE you sit down to do your business.

Great Park!

Stayed for the maximum time you can stay at the park, 14 days. Spots are large and I'm sure for an experienced driver, easy to back into. Water and electric hook-ups. Easy access to a dump station. 2 bathhouses with laundry rooms. Free laundry! Also noticed playgrounds. Felt very safe because it is well lit and regularly patrolled by park police. Quick access to NOLA without having to stay in the city. Would give five stars but the noise from the boats got kinda annoying as did the seemingly constant mowing crew.

Nice State Park, Close To NOLA

We stayed here in April 2019 for 3 nights while we visited NOLA. The sites are well-maintained, spacious. The bathhouse is nice and clean. Laundry is free, but we did not use it while we were there. We did not tow a vehicle, but had no trouble getting Uber drivers to take us to and from the park to downtown. No complaints whatsoever. Great stay.

Nice State Park

Campground was quiet and peaceful. We had a very nice visit. Free laundry was a huge plus! The electric hookups were at the back of the pads, but overall, a wonderful experience and convenient to the city. It was super close to the French Quarter and downtown, which allowed for quick access and a longer visit.

They Do Not Accept National access Pass

If you're not from Louisiana they don't accept National Access Pass America the beautiful. Other than that very nice park with free laundry facility. Back in only, no pull through. $25 a day $33 on Friday and Saturday plus $3 entrance fees.

Close To New Orleans

Lady at station is hateful and rude. Not what you want to deal with after a long day on the road. After talking with a few other campers, we weren't the only ones that experienced that. The park itself is nice, sites are spacious. Water and electric hookups only, dump station located at entrance/exit of campgrounds. Grill and fire pit provided.

Bayou Segnette State Park

We're camping here in May, 2017, $32+taxes etc. Nice campground, but the WIFI not working, one washing machine not working, our water faucet leaks, 30 amp breaker keeps kicking and the dump station is out of order! The front office staff are a little stuffy! Otherwise a very nice park!

Very pleased with the stay and will certainly be back again. 15 mins from New Orleans, friendly staff, wasn't bothered by a single park ranger yet still had the feeling they were watching over everything and keeping it safe, friendly Armadillos, and clean facilities.

Traveling USA

Visited in January 2016. The staff is very pleasant and helpful . Park is beautiful peaceful laundry and showers very clean will be staying here again when we come back to Nola. I want to say thank you to all the helpful friendly staff. I give it a 5 star rating.

Great State Park!

Only a 15 minute drive to the heart of New Orleans. Close to 2 grocery stores and a great seafood market. State park offers quiet camping as well as free laundry and free showers! A definite plus for only $20/night. Would love to come back and stay again.
