Beautiful, Clean And Reasonable
First time staying at Louisiana state parks but definitely will do again. All amenities, paved large sites, pleasanrangers and if you’re over 62 if you enter 62plus as promo it’s half price camping and free entrance. Can’t beat it. Washer/dryers are $1.75/ load. Filtered soft water. Just excellent. We had site 68 (back in) for smaller unit but there are plenty of pull through. Park was half full at best. Very quiet.

Tent
The tent area was hit hard by the storms the past few years. The spot I picked (via pictures on reservation site) did not have a dry spot for a tent. The paved area was more than enough for the tent and automobile but not suitable for staking down the tent. OK as there wasn't any wind. RV camper sites looked great and the park is beautiful. Several good choices for eating out nearby if you want to try good Louisiana cuisine.

Large campground with fascinating history. As with all state parks sites are on the small/medium size but overall great park with a lot of things to keep one busy.

Beautiful Campground
This is a beautiful campground with plenty to do at Fontainbleau and surrounding areas. Mostly level sites from what we could see. Some shaded some not. Very clean bath house/restrooms. Folks at the guard shack are super helpful. Gates are locked nightly at 9:00 - campers are given combination when checking in. Short drive to New Orleans or just about anywhere on this side of Lake Pontchartrain. We will be back.

Lovely Park
This is a beautifully maintained park, big RV spaces with lots to do and see. Reasonable price for real camping feel. Level spot.👏 Wildlife around, especially at night, so be sure to keep your pet securely leashed. Nice visit. Highly recommended.

We love it so much it’s our get-a-way spot on any given weekend. Sometimes we bring the tents and sometimes we bring the rv depends on the weather. The kids love it and it is so beautiful it’s magical under the massive oaks. Great price too and we will always return just because. So glad it’s so close to home

Home Away From Home
We came to Camphost August 2017 and stayed till January 2018. This is a beautiful park with the Marigny sugar mill ruins as a centerpiece. Quiet, just close enough to Mandeville for quick trips to town for supplies and sightseeing. The RV spots are fairly good in the north campground and very good in the south one. The wildlife in the park is deer, racoons, coyotes, wild hogs and a lot of birds. The management and staff are excellent, and we enjoyed our time here. Well worth the trip and we will be looking forward to our next stay.

What a beautiful scenery driving into the park. Easy park to get around in my 30' Class C. After I settled in, I went for a jog around the park and to the lake and found a beautiful sunset. Great experience. Keep it up!!!

Loved seeing wild life. (Hogs, deer, bunnies, birds, etc.) Extremely pleased with location in relation to the Tammany Trace trail. Not happy that they only gave us a choice of six sites (all in sun) when park was mostly empty. Couldn't swim because of water quality.

We loved this campground, the bathrooms were nice and clean, the campground and trails were huge and being right on lake Pontchartrain was great, our dog loved it, after a day in New Orleans she needed a bath ( I mean swim) the park had everything, a fountain for kids to play in and nice playgrounds too. Will camp here again, 2 thumbs up!
