Need A Safe Stop Late At Night?
I love stopping here on my way to visit family in Ohio. It is a nice half way point from Oklahoma to Ohio. It is nice I can pull in and pay for an open spot even if I haven’t called a head. It has a safe and peaceful feeling. You can also get ice and filtered water on your way out. Highly recommend.

Very friendly atmosphere
We stayed overnight here in the off season. The owner is kind and very accomodating. Amenities are clean. It has a pond and play area for the kids. Of course not much going on now in winter but we definitely won't hesitate to stay here again if our travels take us through this area.

Conveniently Located
Staff were not helpful. We had trouble connecting the electricity. Definitely overpriced. Ok for overnight.

Deceiving Images
As others wrote, there are no palm trees in Mt Vernon, IL and no foot hills or mountains in the back drop of Archway RV Park. * No picnic tables for many sights. * Wifi worked well with our roku. * Laundry being located in office is only available during office hours. * $40 nighty fee (includes Good Sam discount). 3 stars are deserving. But the deceptive images lost a star. We added photos that are realistic. If a one night stay is needed and no other RV Park has openings within 100 miles; this is the place to stay at.

Great Park
Nice, clean rv parking. Friendly owners. First Come first serve! They do take reservations (did not ask for credit card)- but we were told that if all the spots are gone when we arrive, then that’s that. Not sure what the reservation was for, in that case. We arrived about 20 minutes after they closed at 7 pm, and there was a chalkboard by the office with available site #s. There were 2 sites open, and the camp host told us they were still waiting on 4 reservations to arrive — we got lucky and got a spot. All that aside, it was a good overnight spot. You share an electric box, so RVs are parked opposite directions, which means your door/awning is facing the other camper next door. Great for buddy camping if you can get two spots side by side. Otherwise, only slightly awkward. We spent most of the time indoors and let them socialize. Restroom was interesting layout.... Overall, it was FINE for a stop over (not really a destination trip). Lots of stores around, and easy to get to.

Nice Stop
Great place for stop over. Easy in and out. By pilot, and TA. If you need anything wallmart across street. Wifi so so. Verizon great. Bathroom and shower clean. Very quiet, shady and peaceful. Trees trimmed well so no danger.

Great Place
This was one of the best campgrounds we have stayed at in a long time. Everyone was very friendly and helpful at check-in. The spots were long, wide, and flat with easy in and exit. The grounds are well maintained with a large dog park. Would gladly stay again.

Great Little Overnight Spot
Level sites long enough to leave our 32 ft 5 th wheel hooked to the truck, drop the front jacks, plug it in to 50 amp, kick on the air and get a good nights sleep. Close to interstate but far enough off to be quiet. Super friendly staff. Would highly recommend.

It’s Alright
Sites are tight and close by. Broken water handle I cut my hand on and was left running prior to my arrival so had to set up in the mud. They do provide an adapter for 30 amp plug in because they have all 50 amp spots. My 36 ft TT and gmc dmax fit ok. Kinda hangin out in the road. This place is alright.

Great Overnight Stay
Stayed one night on our way to Florida, couldn't have been a more convenient place! Site was a pull through that was almost perfectly level making a quick, middle of the night setup a breeze. Only minor complaint was the electrical hookup was 50 Amp, which I had already read on previous reviews and came prepared. I did see that another couple was giving the owner back a loaner adapter which boosted their customer service in my eyes. Will most definitely stay there again the next time I go that direction!

Great Little Find
Great little find! Friendly staff, very clean and campsites are far enough back from the road. Very nice camp store and lots of space to walk your dogs. We’ll use this as a future stopping point on our trips west.

Peaceful & Shady
The campground is beautifully landscaped with a nice pond in the very back. Most of the lots are big, pull-through, full hook-up sites and are shady with nice beautiful trees overtop. The bathrooms/showers are private and lockable with two showers in the room. The owner and his daughter are very nice and helpful. They gave us a Veteran's discount which knocked the price to $35. We woke up in the morning to find a nice cool breeze and sunshine, so we decided to stay an extra night and explore Mt. Vernon. The owner gave us a restaurant guide and we ate at Bugsy's Chicago Dog. It was good and the first time I ever had a Chicago dog. We travel with our small dogs and had to take one to the vet while here. We took her to Lamczyk Veterinary Clinic 1 mile away from the campground. They were great about getting us in last minute and they were so close to the campground. I really enjoyed this area.

Palm Trees???
We stayed overnight enroute to our destination. The lots are very messy. Spiny nuts all over the place making walking the dog a challenge. Way overpriced! Close to highway and stores is the only advantage. No cable. Those are NOT pictures of the facility. Wonder why????

Easy Access/Full Hookups
Very nice host upon arrival. Used a pull through that was gravel and very level. Old school playground slide. Half court basketball. Pond. A few full timers. Lose to Flying J and some fast food. Could walk to eat if need be. Overall a nice stop over RV park. Camped in a 32' Motorhome pulling towed vehicle. Some shady pull through spot. I would recommend for stop over only.

We stayed here one night. Good in and out with our trailer. Good location. Tiffany is so nice and accommodating. Spaces not too close for us. Great wifi. Hookups need some revamping, but overall a good experience. Gravel and grass. We would stay again. New shower rooms nice. Need stall doors though as showers and toilets all open to anyone who comes in, so therefore had to lock outside door for privacy. This makes anyone else wanting to use the facilities have to wait. But, best WiFi we have had.

Overnight stay
We were coming in from Bowling Green Tennessee, call let them know when we were going to be there. It took a lot longer than thought, Tiffany was very gracious and said just come on in and park where ever, they would be there in the morning. We did get there and she was still working. Place is very nice I'm not sure why everybody is talking about palm trees, we did not see any. One thing is go to the right and head towards the office when you get there. We paid $35 with Good Sam Card, would stay again.

Honestly now, did you think the palm trees were natural in Illinois? I found Bruce and Tiffany to be cordial and excited about all the work they had put in to restore this little RV park. Charming and down home. Easy in and out, inexpensive, tidy and meticulously clean facilities. Neat playground, good after dark lighting, effective but low key. Great place to stay. Vets, be sure and get your discount

Run Down Park
Friendly staff, beautiful office. Terrible experience in the actual campground though. Our site was muddy (at the end of December!) & a pretty tight site with not enough room for our slides to go out. In addition to that the power was bad & blew our Progressive Industries surge protector! Not much concern from the staff, no refund on our site or anything. Definitely won't be staying here again. Bummer because it's close to everything, has a great playground, & the owners are super friendly.

Very nice park. The host that met us was very kind and helpful. It had rained during the day so the park was a little wet but still okay. TV reception was very poor. Only one channel available. I will stay here again.

Had To Write
Honest, I can't write a review as I've not stayed here, however it is a site I was considering...the only reason I've changed my mind is I can't help but see the advertisement is deceiving? Why? Take a look at the 7 photos. See anything odd? Never knew in my 55 years that Indiana had palm trees! Makes me wonder what else is fabricated?

This is a very nice clean park. Very efficient and friendly host. Doesn't have a lot of frills but it does have everything you need for a stop over W/50A/S/WiFi. Listing says cable but there isn't any.
