Rude and unprofessional camphost.Love the park will be back

By far the best staff/rangers we have ever encountered at a state park. We stayed just for a weekend, so we didn’t get to enjoy the entire park. Our site was very level and we had plenty of space. We enjoyed walking around the park. The bathhouses were kept clean. We don’t live close, but we look forward to returning in the future.

Just your typical State Park. Everything is good. Bathrooms older but clean. Sites level and separated. Great staff

Great Place To Overnight Or Vacation

We stayed here last in 1999 and I remember our boys playing mini golf when we were here. Park has only gotten better with age. We were here in February 2021. Temps were 50s & 60s, but rained most days, except for checkout day! Most sites are long and level. Pay attention to tall pines at your site as they could obstruct slides or awnings. Campsites are mostly secluded amongst the palmettos and pines and hanging moss. Best sites have water views, but some sites will temporarily hold water after heavy rains. This is a great park to spend a week with plenty to do nearby, or just stop over on the way somewhere. Always laugh at reviews that say the park was great but the staff was rude. I’ve practically never met staff at a state park that aren’t nice and helpful.

Back Again

This is a perfect first night stay when heading up 95 from Tampa. Always a great park.

Full hook up $40.00 only reason for us staying there was we wanted to go to Cumberland island

Very quiet park with large sites. Some sites are full hook-up. We had water elec. only but great spot. Flat n level. Bring a rug for Stoney site. Awesome views and great hiking trails on site. Employees super nice! Perfect.

Love this camp our 3rd time here, and as usual very nice, quite. Stayed in #47 spacious with full hook up just across drive from brand new bath house. Well kept grounds, no hassle even with covid regs. Boat ramp and Bait shop open, but couldn’t enter building. Lots of trails, and fished on river from bank.

Crooked River

Overall a very nice Park. All the sites are spacious. Good trails and all is clean. My BIG complaint is the water pressure in the men's shower stalls. They should be ashamed at what they charge to per night to have trickling water.

Haven't been back for years

We stayed here when my boys were growing up, now 42. Still a great place to stop when heading north. Always buggy in the summer but clean well maintained.

Great park!

We camped here for a week in our 25’ camper. We had water and 30A hook up. Nice campground , clean restrooms , peaceful. No-see-ums. Bite, and swarm mostly early am and pm, need bug candles and spray. I kayaked Crooked River, Swift current, easy access. We will camp here again.

Loved it here, lots of space and wonderful people. Dog friendly, with lots of room to walk. Even in February there were bugs, lots of bites, will remember the bug spray next time. Very affordable.

Great Area

Tent camped here for a week. Nice campground , clean restrooms, hot showers. Will return.

Awesome Campground

For less than $25/day my site was very large, clean, nature settings with great shade trees and full hook up. The baths/laundry are new and very clean. The only negative is you have to drive to the beach however a boat ramp is available.

Roomy spots with some trees and lots of space between you and your neighbor. They are working on upgrading half of the park at the moment to full hookups so it was closed when we were there but we still had elec/water hookup. Dump station is just outside of the campground loop. Really beautiful trails to bike or walk. Showers and bathrooms are clean and there is laundry available here. There is a pond when you first drive into the campground that has a resident gator, so watch yourselves and your little dogs. Only stayed one night on our way to Florida so didn't have a chance to explore any towns around here. Would stay again for sure.

Used free night from my friends of Georgia pass Roomy secluded sites - sand but flat. First come chooses site. Lots of bird life restroom good but not great. Nice staff. I will be back

What a great place! My wife and rode ALL the trails on our beach cruisers. Not difficult at all. The campground is very clean, well maintained and quite. We are coming again in a few weeks!! My wife says quadruple thumbs up!!!

A "find"....I really liked this campground. Very nice and accommodating staff. Clean... easy to setup... very satisfied.

Great get away. Sewer dump outside of the campground.

What a jewel of a state park. The best. Clean, large sites, cable TV, and quiet. We will return.
