We Liked It!
Our first time here and we are planning to visit every one in Florida that has RV camping. It is one of the original CCC parks created during the depression. For some reason it never seems completely booked. Lots of nature and wildlife. Pretty quiet.

This Place Is A Dump
This is by far the worst campground I have ever stayed at. The ground is all dirt and sand. When it rains, your site becomes a mud pit. You are right on top of your neighbors and the facilities are run down. You are better staying at a Walmart. Would be zero stars if it would let me.

Overcrowded
To say this place was overcrowded is an understatement. We will never go back.

Slightly Better Than A Parking Lot
The worst state park campground we have seen in FL. Only tiny wooden numbered signs seperate each site. Not camping, really just parking next to hundreds of people, screaming children, and barking dogs. The park trails are the only thing worth experiencing, and were surprisingly more beautiful than expected. Bring a bike, or rent one since most are a far walk from the CG. Dump station, laundry $2-2.50/load, several bathhouses (didnt use), elec and water at most sites (bring extensions since some are shared). Nothing in the area to really see, and was not worth driving out of the way to camp.

The park itself is beautiful. The campsites are one on top of the other. Too close for my taste. Lots of kids and tents. Mostly dirt and grass. Older park. The bike path is great. If you're looking for peace and quiet, be sure to come during the week. I stayed in the most private area an end Loop, sites 36-45. Open no shade. Most of the other sites are shaded.

Camping
Always enjoyed our camping but seems each yr they are allowing too many tent campers on a site and become very noisy. If it continues may not come back.

Camp sights are tight, some seem they may be muddy at times. We enjoyed are stay. The park has several hiking trails. Never went into the bath house. Not my first place to go back to but definitely will.

nice but...
The park itself is beautiful, for a one day trip to enjoy is good but to camp here it gets way too crowded and the sites are right next to each other, no space at all between them. The bathrooms are dated small and barely meet the demands of so many people do they always stink, the lady's restroom was always flooded. If i lived near i world come back to bike and bike but we won't be back to camp.
