Great Park Close To Town (Military Only)

This little RV park is great in that most of the spots are level and concrete. Although the spot (#29) we had, was a little steep to try to level our fifth wheel. Out step into the trailer was truly a climb. Other then that it was very nice site. Very secure grounds behind locked gates.

Good Place To Base Out Of

Good place to take our kids for a long weekend. Facilities are clean. Wish there was more for kids at the part so we didn't have to drive to other locations to entertain them.

It’s not super fancy, but it has everything you need and free laundry! Gail the camp host was a wealth of knowledge and super friendly. Awesome location to use as your leaping off point to adventures in the Monterey area. The price was worth every penny. We would stay there again for sure!

Military only - best value in Monterey

You cannot find a better value/location in Monterey. I prefer the first 8 sites due to their privacy, although they do not have sewer hookup. The restrooms were heated and clean. Biking distance from town,grocery, beach. Stayed 4 nights and loved it. We will be back!

Perfect “Base Camp”

Open to Active Duty or Retired Military only. A perfect “base camp” for exploring Monterey and the surrounding area. The grounds are nothing special (gravel and dirt), but there is elbow room between camp sites and the staff who manage the campground and golf course are incredibly friendly and helpful. ***There is No sign for the campground. Go to the Monterey Pines Golf Club entry that’s on the corner of Garden Rd and Fairground Rd.

Why would people post a 1 star review for a place simply because it is military only? "I can't use it so it stinks"... There is a great way to go through life. Quiet park that offers full hookups. Spots are on the smaller side but you have at least 15 feet from your door to the next camper. Unfortunately the grounds aren't watered so it is just dead brush, dirt, and rocks (reason for 4 vs 5 stars).

So Worth It

$33 are you kidding me!!! So worth the price. It butts up against the golf course and is about ten minutes from downtown Monterey and the Warf. Everything else around was twice this much or more and about 30-60 minutes away. The Internet is lightning fast and the staff is super nice. So why not five stars you ask? The spots are mostly level gravel but the road is rather narrow and the spots close together so it will take some patience and skill to get your trailer or fifth wheel into the spot. It's quite, when the planes from the adjacent airport aren't taking off. The planes are really loud but if you check the small airport's schedule you'll know when they are coming. Still, the jets shake the trailer pretty good. These things however, cannot beat the price or location so I'd gladly stay here again in a heartbeat.
