Too Close To Neighbours

I am not impressed with this campground at all. The office was closed at 3pm. We met a girl who said this Campground was "Reservation only." Now I can read, the website doesn't say reservations only, it says reservations recommended. I was disappointed in the condition of the roads, the tightness in which to get in and out of sites. I gave it two stars because it did have a dump site. So I went to the Joshua Tree North overflow BLM land. No one's close to us, it's free, and much better sites.

Full Time Camper.

Just sitting here at site 45 ,at least 65 70 feet of pull through.Less than 10 sites occupied. Can't beat that ,17` deg. out.Cheers.

Tight Campground

Nice stop, but difficult to maneuver along the roads.

Friendly rangers. Basic, smallish sites - but large enough for our 24' 5th wheel rig without having to unhitch. Definitely larger than anything we found at the other CGs at Joshua Tree NP. Road inside CG is narrow, so larger rigs beware. Clean restrooms. Good desert views and hiking.

Too Close To Suburbia

This is the best campground with amenities, cell service, reservable, water, near market. It however is one of the coldest, and certainly the worst night skies for stargazing. Despite the name, there is no boulder terrain, as what one would see at most other Joshua Tree NP campgrounds. However, it has the most robust Joshua trees, and great access to hiking trails!
