After a long day of driving, I attempted to make a same reservation online but was unable to. So I drove out to the lake and attempted to use the kiosk machine and again was unable to do a same day reservation. The road is definitely windy especially the closer you get to the lake/ campground. Same dayers be advised. Otherwise the park look great.

Quiet, Out Of the Way
Except for no cell reception, we loved our stay. Dog friendly trails. Nice, large, grassy sites. The road in is windy, but easy. Sites have water and electricity. There is a dump station.

Reservoir Refuge
Coyote Lake lies in the ranch country in the hills to the east of the farmland of Gilroy, California. The park consists of a campground and picnic areas as well as boat ramp access to the reservoir. The camp area is mostly open, level and offers restrooms and picnic tables. Recreation includes hiking, fishing, boating and wildlife viewing. The area abounds with deer, wild turkey, feral pigs and birdlife, including bald eagles and magpies. Access is a short, twisty road up to the park, and the park road is a narrow out-and-back to the reservoir dam. Climate is dry and clear, prices reasonable, and the shopping and dining of Gilroy, as well as several RV dealers, are close by.

Great winter rates. Almost empty campground on the weekend and lots to do and see.

Beautiful Place
Nice campground, clean bathrooms and wildlife! Great hiking in the hills, didn’t explore the reservoir. Only two of us in the campground with electric. Lots of open sites.
