This park has mostly level back ins in four campgrounds. Valley view rv campground 1 has power and water, the others are tent sites only. Rigs over 30 feet wouldn't fit. Miles of hiking, great views, kid friendly. Easy access. Big redwood trees. In summer you will need reservations for rv sites. In September only 3 sites were occupied midweek

Redwood Refuge Above The Valley
A short climb above the garlic capital and burgeoning bedroom community of Gilroy, California is Mt. Madonna County Park. The park sits along the ridge top separating the south valley area and coastal towns, with easy access ( though a little twisty) on a state road connecting the two. The area is forested, including second growth redwood areas and other mixed hardwoods. The park offers camping and picnicking areas as well as scenic views, hiking and an enclosure of fallow deer on display. Convenient and scenic, it is a great choice for those seeking refuge in the forest high above the hot, dry valley.
