Compared to the countless miserable California State parks where you pay $40 for a muddy unkept site with no services, this is pleasant.
Unfortunately the fairgrounds suffer from drainage issues so half the campground was closed due to mud. And the other half was closed due to unstable trees. Which leaves the parking lot.
Also there seems to have been an influx of semi-permanent RVs that have taken residence, including the host.
On the plus side, $35 gets you 30A power, water and use of the dump station. It also gets you to walking distance of a little gem of a town.
