Great boondocking near Grand Canyon
Free dispersed camping off FS road 688, just before entering the small town of Tusayan. At least 3 miles with numerous well-established camping spots, suitable for virtually any rig. Adequate shade if needed. Some OHV activity.

Nice Stop For The Evening
We were in route to the Grand Canyon and this made the perfect stop. We drove back a mile or so and found a site. Nice fire ring of stone and flat area for the 12ft camper.

Great Spot
A great quiet spot to set up a tent for an evening. I was motorcycle camping and passing through the Grand Canyon, and this was exactly the kind of place I was looking for. Even better it was free and almost no people around. Just please don't be a jerk, and pack out EVERYTHING you bring into the area.

As Good As It Gets!
Like the other posters said, don't miss this gem. Rained hard yesterday, but we've only seen a few mudholes. Easy turn around with our 30 ft. Motorhome pulling an HHR. 6800 ft. Elev. The stars are amazing tonight, even with half a moon!

Impressed!
This place is a hidden gem! Wanted to visit the Grand Canyon but didn't really want to pay for a site, because we didn't need hookups for a few days so this is perfect! Easy access dirt road off of 64. Quiet with lots of roomy sites with firepits. The road was quite good for our truck and 35ft. 5th wheel to get thru. Will accommodate any size RV. Lots of visits from free range cows walking along. Nature at it's best! Love this place!! Best of all its free!!

Unbelievable peace and quiet. Better than any “campground”. No facilities, but there is a gas station/general store 5 miles south.

Best Free Camping South Of Rim
This place is unbelievable. So close to town, a close drive to the park, the campsites all have fire rings, easily drivable in my school bus conversion, and the stars at night are unbelievable. If you're thinking about paying for a place (unless you absolutely need a hookup) DONT this will beat anything and it's FREE
