Great Dry Camping
This is a great place, as others have said. A couple of updates: you don't need to get a "pass" at any local businesses. There is a kiosk at the front entrance where you pay for your site...credit card or debit only. You pay for your site and the machine prints out a 2 part receipt. That is now your "pass." Put one part on your dash and the other part on the post in front of your site. Showers are closed now, due to covid, but bathrooms are open. The camp host told me they have cleared out the packrat nests, so they aren't the problem they were a few years ago...but it's still a good idea to leave your hood open and put a solar charged yard light in your engine compartment to keep any stragglers away. He showed me damage to his battery area caused by them. Good AT&T cell service (3 bars). Odd numbered sites are reservable, evens are first come first served. $25, $12.50 with senior pass. About half the sites are double, if you're camping with a buddy, the others are single.

Cholla campground
After visiting 21 National Forests this has an awesome view of Roosevelt Lake the restroom and shower facility are the best I've seen. They tell me that they have a problem with "Pack Rats" or field mice that will nest on your engine even overnight and eat at the wiring, so everyone has their hood propped up for visual inspection. You do need to purchase a pass from local businesses.
