The official campground has been closed for years but there is a large crushed stone area, separate from the boat launch area for dispersed camping. Great place to camp Fall thru Spring to avoid the crowds and heat.

The camping area is closed UFN, but people are camping in the boat launch parking area. Lots of kind of shady looking campers in that parking lot. There's a lot of wide open spaces in a field about a quarter mile before you get to this area, where it's obvious people have camped...tire tracks and stone fire rings all over. That would be a much better spot than the boat parking lot, until the campground reopens.
