Nice
We were there for two nights midweek in January. There was a welcoming party of two burros in our site when we arrived! Although we had a view of the desert, many sites overlooked the lake. It would have been nice if the website indicated where the lake was or which sites were desert views verses lake so you could choose which you prefer. Otherwise our stay was quite and well maintained.

Pleasant And Windy
We like camping here in the Fall, lake is pretty and lots of hiking in and around the park. We found though that the Roadrunner CG gets heavy winds during the night and morning. Currently, the lake is very very low.

Un-Pleasant Experience
Roadrunner loop.
If people stopping in the camp loop road to unload their utv's and un-hook their toads is something you're cool with despite their being places where this can be done without hindering the flow of vehicles, this is your place. If UTV's roaring around is you're idea of fun all day long, this is your place. If people yelling and playing loud music is your idea of fun all day long and beyond quiet time, this is your place. If you don't mind people parking feet into the campground road lane or the last 10' of their 44' triple axle 5th wheel hauler parked in a 35' space, then this park is for you. If you like to hear the neighbors fog bark every few minutes all day long at nothing is your idea of fun, this is your place.
This place is a zoo on the weekends. Thanks for taking my money Maricopa Co despite not upholding the rules you've established.
No thanks, never again.

Great Camping On The Lake
Stayed at Road Runner Campground for a week with a group of friends each in a different size trailer. The spots were spacious and easy to back in to. Some pull throughs. We had a 36’ foot fifth wheel, but can accommodate some pretty big rigs. Water and electricity at site. Nice bathrooms and showers, very clean. Many spots with view of the lake. Free dump station for campers. We plan to stay here again.

Trashy
I dry camped at firemans cove for $12. Dissappointed I was not given any maps and there was trash all over the place. I picked up several bags worth and put them in the dumpster, however, when the truck came to empty the dumpster, some of trash fell back on the ground. One area is full of nails and screws, apparently burning scrap wood. We did see some burros which was the highlight of the trip. Not many level areas for parking an rv.

It's a beautiful place to camp or spend the day. We had wild burros come up to our site. I recommend this place to everyone.
