Will Return!
Beautiful property with shade and lots of wildflowers following rains this summer! No hookups but level, clean restrooms, spacious, picnic table, grill, clean restrooms and gracious host. We got last spot at 4:00 on a Saturday with no reservation, so glad we did because we will be back. Camping fee includes access to 2 National monuments, and one could spend 2 days easy if hiking the trails and seeing the sites or if wanting to access Flagstaff. I would have given 5 stars if we had even one hookup but it did not detract from our enjoyment

Nice!
Love camping in the woods. Nice clean sites, was quiet but full by night. Very clean bathrooms, smells of bleach every time... still sanitized the seat myself :-). Very nice location, friendly camp hosts. Came for one night, stayed for two!

Very Nice
The campground hosts keep this place spotless and are on top of things helping you get situated. I liked the tight-ship they run. They check you in so as soon as you pull into a spot they are checking in with you.
We chose site #7 for our 38' class A as it had the most sun available for solar needs
No VZ 4G in the campground but occasionally was able to pull in 3G at the campground entrance or about 1/3 mile west of the CG entrance at a dirt pull out. That or drive about a mile to the Sunset Crater viewing/hiking area and you can get 4 bars of VZ 4G.
Nice hiking and sightseeing in the area.

Nice!
Beautiful campground. Lots of good spots with generous space. Really well maintained by camp hosts. There was a bit of a bee problem however they weren't mean, they were just thirsty. Would definitely return.

Peaceful
One of the nicest primitive camping on a three week trip. Beautiful surroundings, quiet, clean and friendly. Short walk to dog friendly hiking. Restrooms very clean. No showers or hook ups.

Campground Review
Beautiful spot, nice campsites. Clean bathrooms. Campground is expensive for national forest ($24), and campground host is very in your face (constantly making rounds and making you feel like you are doing something wrong....when you are just trying to set up camp and relax).

Really nice, clean, quiet, with asphalt. Stay here 3 to 4 times a year. Hosts are super friendly.
