Great Amenities
We only stayed 1 night after being in a state park for a week, so I needed an RV resort with good laundry facilities and showers. This place did not disappoint. We were on site 42, and were able to easily accomplish our laundry. Very nice clean facilities. They also had a very clean game room and swimming pool.

Great Little Park
Like that they escort you to your
very tight overnight site...will stay again, but will insist on a bigger site. Easy on and off 65...
Train close by, makes lot of noise.

Great Overnight Stay
Camp hosts were super friendly and accommodating from our phone interaction through our stay. Easy one night stop over on the way to the gulf. Good, clean facilities, pool, laundry, showers and bathrooms. We would certainly stay again.

Stayed here overnight. Limited camping in the Birmingham area so reservation would recommend which was handled excellent over the phone. Night manager was onsite until 9PM to guide us to our site. Park is an old KOA facility that from the signage states opened in 1998. Unfortunately that is when most of the interior roads were last paved. A number of sites were of original asphalt, gravel and grass and are in need of repair and leveling. The park appears to to be about 50/50 permanent party/overnight. Site 29 has a small concrete pad for the picnic table area but sadly is so broken up it is a trip hazard. Men’s bathroom large and clean and a peek in the laundry room had 6 dryers and washers $2/ea. A row of 6 individual showers for men/women with one having standing water in the basin. Good for an overnight but the park screams for some updating.
$61 for $50 amp, 3 people with military discount and taxes included.

Good Overnight Stop
Easy access off the interstate and easy after hours self check in.
Decent wifi, roads are wide enough and easy to navigate. Quiet, except for a fairly steady stream of trains about 1/4 mile away. Would stop here again as an overnight stop.

Great Place
This is one of the easiest and best places to stop on our way to Florida. We have stayed at Birmingham South the last 4 or 5 trips on our way to and from Fl. Friendly staff and clean facilities. The roads could use a little work but not a deterrent not to stay. We will definitely stay again.

Great Overnight Stay
Very clean and accommodating. The staff was great in getting us a spot with calling the same day as we were traveling to Florida. We would be arriving after hours and they left us a detailed map in how we accessed our site and also had it marked with a cone. Close to I-65, but seemed remote. Would definitely stay again.

Traveler
Way expensive for traveling. Stayed 1 night.
That being said was a real nice park. Level sites. Full hookups, cabbie tv. A lot of amenities that probably a single person or couple would never use, overnight. Probably wouldn't stay again but only because of price.

Sites close together but fine, gravel pads, grass/some nice small trees, didn’t see fire ring but didn’t want to build a fire, picnic table, clean, neat, level, very well-stocked (RV supplies, not much food except ice cream and drinks)and neat store, best and cleanest bathrooms/showers I’ve seen, close to Oak Mtn. Our Recent Stay
We stayed at this campground while on our way to Texas. We found the office staff very pleasant and helpful upon check-in. We had called ahead and when we arrived, they had our site already assigned and all we needed was a license tag number and we were on our way. Our site was for the most part level and actually had a shade tree which sure was nice in the July heat. We found the bathrooms to be very clean and well stocked. It was a little strange that, while the actual bathrooms were separate, both the men’s and women’s bathrooms shared the same showers. But, the shower rooms were clean and easily lockable, so it created no problem. If we should pass through Birmingham again, I would stay at this campground again. In case it looks familiar, it must have had a former life as a KOA since the office building looks strangely familiar. But, I also like KOA campgrounds. All in all, a very pleasant stay.

Stayed 2 nights in a 32' TT.
Large spacious sites. Former KOA camp under renovation and improvements. Staff friendly.
Cable ok, Wi-Fi not so much.
Bathhouse/Restrooms
5 hooks out of 5 hooks
Clean, numerous stalls. Private showers away from the restrooms.
Trains & horns punctuate the day abd night. Bring earplugs. All in all would overnight here again if in the area.

Passing by to visit family
This appears to be a converted KOA (A-frame office shape) but it looks to be in fairly decent shape. We are in Site #3 and the 30 Amp power works asdoes the water spigot. The waste connection is unthreaded PVC so you may need a donut to hold things in place. Our pad is paved and pretty level and there are shade trees all around; not everywhere but enough to help shade things.
We paid $40 with a Good Sam discount and we are here in our 25 ft. Sprinter motorhome (no toad).
