Wonderful park but come early as you pick your spot based on what is available. We had absolutely no cell service or Internet within 10 miles or more of the area all around. A definite favorite for locals to gather and everyone was respectful. Rangers patrol frequently. The beach is OK. We hiked the Mountain View Trail then crossed to the Little Mountain Falls Trail; about 3.5 miles and easy. A nice hike in the woods and no one else on it. We did not hunt for Fairy stones but rangers provide directions to look. Bathrooms and showers were very clean and well maintained.

Family Favorite!!
The sites are very shaded and spaced out decently. The lake area is gorgeous and has a nice place for the kids to play. My family has been here a few times. Wifi at the lake only - cell service spotty otherwise.

Fairystone State Park Campground
Very disappointed in the actual size of the camping spots. Very small. The amenities are alright but no big deal. Staff are friendly and courteous. Our camp host Ron was friendly and helpful. However-when it says no camper over 30 foot they really mean 24 foot or pack tents. The shower house was clean and everything worked. There are a lot of programs run by the park rangers for young to old. The swimming area appeared to be nice and clean. Gonna need some of that fairy magic to get out of this campsite.

Too high if your a non resident. Won't be going back for that very reason. This campground does have plenty to do. Very good trails, swimming, boating.
