Quiet during the week. We loved the Mountain View Trail Hike and switched to the Little Falls Trail to complete a 3.5 mile hike. Picturesque and easy hike; not too much elevation but nice overlook of the Blue Ridge Mts. Bathrooms are very clean and our site was level. Also visited the “beach”; it’s good for a quick dip to cool off but small. Traveled from camp up to Blue Ridge Parkway (about 30 mins) Rte. 8.....narrow and winding...I would not want to do that trip with my trailer!

Nice State Park
The campground is nice and well kept. The spaces however are very close together. Most importantly, this is not a campground for big rigs of any kind. The sites are fairly level, shaded, and have picnic tables and fire rings. The staff did a good job of keeping the fairly new bathrooms and showers clean on a full Memorial Day weekend. There is a lake with a nice beach area and numerous hiking trails. In closing, I can't emphasize enough that I would not bring anything larger than a 22' trailer here.
