Been coming here for a couple years for a weekend or so and I’m very disgusted about the place. Looks like there’s no one taking care of this place over price full-time living here. Wi-Fi is in and out at worth the money.

Weekend trip w friends to Billy Graham Library and Living Nativity scene.
Clean and quiet when we stayed here.
Full hookup and site was fairly level.
I can see it would be a great place as well if you are visiting the park.
Restaurants nearby if you need it and security was visible.

Stay Cation
Made an impromptu 4 day trip here. We live in the area, but figured we could winterize and do maintenance while fully set up and plugged in.
Park looked stunning with the fall color change. Concrete pads at the sites. Ours was full hook ups. Nice pool for the summer, nice clubhouse/store. Shuttle to the park. Well maintained over all. A nice place to stay even if you don’t go to the park.
The immediate area outside the campground is not the finest part of town. Campground is situated far back from the road and we didn’t see non campers strolling around. I wouldn’t walk outside the park due to the traffic and some questionable hotels. Driving is fine and there is a Cabellas nearby.
A specific portion of the campground is full-timers who work at the park and get a reduced price in return. Most others are put in a different part of the campground. Bathhouses are great and well maintained.
Road noise and amusement park noise is present. Planes do fly over, but fun to watch.

Not So Good
We stayed here for three nights and altho they have an amusement park just next-door and it was not in operation the noise was terrible. Not only is it on an air flight strip w planes going and coming but they had cars racing-up and down on the street over. One of the other campers called the police around 3 in the morning. Not a peaceful n quite stay.

Convenient Location- Nice Campground
Location next door to Carowinds, this campground is a great place hidden minutes from downtown Charlotte. If you are looking for a place close to Carowinds this is the place. Neat and clean with friendly staff on site as well. Bath house is made up of four private bathroom with showers that is well maintained and warm. Staying at this campground you get discounted Carowinds tickets. Nice large level sites that are all paved. Most sites are shaded with large oak trees. If you are looking for a quiet place to stay better look somewhere else. Down side., the reason for only four stars...the CLT flight path is close enough to hear through the night. The park is close enough to Carowinds to here the hustle and bustle not to mention the noise from Carowinds. Stayed after Christmas in 2019 for three days. I would definitely come back if going to Carowinds for a few days.

Nice Property
Has all the amenities needed. The air traffic to airport is a bit loud at times, would not stop me from utilizing again.

Great Place to test our RV
We got a “new to us” RV and wanted a close to home place to test it out. We are glad we stayed here. It was very clean and quiet. We stayed off season but it looks like they have great amenities. We ended up having an electrical issue on our RV so we had to leave a day early but they very nicely refunded us back for that day. We will definitely come back!!!

Nice Rv Park
Stayed 3 nights. Paved roads. Paved level sites. All restrooms are handicap accessible. Friendly staff. Shuttle to Carowinds Amusement Park. Lots of airplane traffic day and night. I like airplanes so not an issue for me. Picnic tables and big grill on site. No cable tv but plenty of channels to choose from on antenna tv.

Theme Park Camping...
The park is next door so aimed at theme park campers. Sites were level with solid hookups, facilities were clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. Roads are a bit tight for a larger rig but in ok condition.

Good For Overnight
Worked very well for overnight stay. Easy big rig navigation. Site was long enough that I didn't have to unhook my toad. Utilities were well placed and worked well. No cable TV, but lots of channels on antenna. Some airplane noise, but not real loud. I would stay again on a weeknight. Weekends are too expensive for an overnight stay.

Absolutely Loved It Here
Clean quiet level & comfortable. Conveniently located with a short drive to Charlotte. We didn't go to the amusement park but the RV park was fantastic.
