One Fatal Flaw
Stayed 9/4-7/2020, on site 49.
The good:
Reservation process was easy.
Almost all sites have water and electric.
Electric looks like it was recently redone. We had no power issues.
Almost all sites sit in tall pines. Sites are not too crowded together. Sites are mostly level.
Nice playground.
Large open field for games.
Pool, a little small for the size of the campground, open 11-7.
Plenty of hot water in the shower.
Someone gave us a load of firewood on Saturday while we were out. Don't know if it was campground or someone else.
The bad:
Roads around the campground are bumpy and narrow.
Lot of dead branches in the pine trees, would not want to stay on site in a heavy storm with winds.
Comfort Stations (toilets and showers)
So why do we rate this a 1?
Went to use the toilet Saturday morning. NO WATER TO FLUSH! Disgusting to say the least. This is in a facility with one toilet and urinal for men and two toilets for women serving at least 60 sites, many with tent campers.

Nice For New York
We were given a very nice and private site next to the creek, but the bath houses and pool were disgusting.

Close to NYC, very quiet area with nice trees. You can tell at one time this was a very nice park. Sadly it has been neglected recently and is grossly understaffed. The staff that is there are very helpful and truly doing the best they can.

Expect Changes
Requested a level site. When escorted to the site the staff person said it wasn't level at all. We could see that. So put us in the "field". Back-ins that sloped back to front but doable for a night. FHU worked well. Non - threaded sewer hookup. This CG has been purchased by the town, so there may be some changes coming.

Nice Place
This is a very nice place to stay. They only have 30 amp service for campers, but they do have a conversion plus to plug into.
It is very quiet and peaceful. If I'm back in the area I will definitely give them a call.

Great Family Place, We Will Go Back
Everyone was very friendly and helpful. They even came down to help us get backed into our site since this was our first camping trip with our trailer. Definitely family friendly, and loved being in the woods near the stream. We look forward to going back.
