Too Pricey For What You Get
For some reason all the amenities they advertised were closed. No Bathroom, No Laundry, No pool. Cable only offers about 5 channels. The sites could use a little maintenance. They never gave me the wifi password. $70+ for back in, $90+ for pull through. Should have been discounted. Then it would be acceptable. We needed to stop and that was only place around. Mostly permanent residents living there. The grounds were clean. The previous reviews were probably pre Covid. However, we pretty much are over Covid.

We really enjoyed our stay at Black Bear Campground. We have a very nice back in site for our big rig, with plenty of room between sites. We enjoyed our morning walks amongst the deer. Staff are very helpful, as they will coordinate trips to NYC or provide great restaurant and attraction suggestions. We will definitely stay here again when in the area.

In the area for some sight seeing
This is out first time at this campground. We were lucky to get a full-hookup back-in site for our small motorhome with enough room to park our CR-V next to it, and with room left over. The bathroom and showers are very neat and clean but they are hot and humid in this 90° heat, and the overall campground appears well-kept. The staff was very nice and offered all kinds of suggestions on things to see and do in this area. Our site was reasonably level and traveled, with a picnic table and fire ring. If you come here you won't be disappointed and no, I was not compensated for this review; I don't work for the place; and do not know any of the employees.
Update of July 16. Be sure to bring a lot of quarters for the laundry. The washing machine alone requires $2.50!!!

Called to make a reservation, the lady who I talked to was super nice, gave me helpful information on finding the campground. When we arrived the same lady, again super nice. Quiet and peaceful. Close enough to New York City, we took the tour bus our first trip into the city, our guide was informative and we managed to see quite a few sites. The only negative...$2.50 to wash clothes and $2.00 for the dryer!

Great Place
People are very nice. The place is clean. I like the pool, basketball course, the activities for the kids, miniature golf. My kids love the place. They have a pond for fishing. I sure will love to come back.

Nice Place
Nice place to stay. Very nice private restrooms and showers. Nice camp site that worked with us even though we came in well after check in, highly recommend.
