Beautiful
DOD Employees only. Great location, wonderful views. Nice place to stay while exploring the White Sands area. Keep an eye open for coyotes and oryx at night.

$10
Military ID Only, Great Views/Value
This is a great campground, for what it is. It's $10/night with full hookups, plus bathrooms with showers, relatively level, pull through sites, with grill, shade pavilion, and picnic table. Great view out the front of the mountains... But your area doesn't have any grass or trees. It's near the old golf course(no longer functioning as such) which has a very nice path through it, for walking/biking. There are nice shaded, treed, picnic areas just behind you, and a large playground.
However, you need a military ID to get in and to get a campsite. Do not attempt to come in if you don't have such.
The phone number and address of the office have changed. I'm not sure the phone, but the address is 1338 Ripley, just next to the old golf course. The web link has specific instructions for getting in, if a bit aged. You do not need vehicle decals anymore, plus address and phone change. Close to Las Cruces and White Sands. 8 spots, plus over flow. Reservations are good.
