Great park with lots of open areas. Sites are level that were newly graveled. Rained hard the last night so some sites had water in them. We had trouble with the power when we hooked up to 30A as our EMS saw a open power leg. Other people had problems as well. 50A worked great. Definitely would return!!!!

Swampy When Raining
Fun place, but spent 5 days in mud. Kids didn't mind, but it gets old...DNR did a great job keeping the place quiet over memorial day. Clean bathrooms. Two playgrounds for the kids, trout stream.

Peaceful And Quiet
One of my favorite campgrounds in eastern Iowa. I come here quite often. Lots of hiking nearby at nature center and a creek running next to park that is stocked with trout. Showers are ok. Water pressure at sites is good. Watch out for standing water if it happens to storm for a while. My dog loves to swim in the creek and theres always kids at the spot where it runs over the road. Yes it's on purpose, its mainly a shallow creek. There's several picnic/grill areas in the park, as well as covered party areas with power. The DNR lives in a house behind the restroom facility and there's also a campground host. All people are extremely friendly.
