You must make your reservation on line even if you have arrived. Pay with credit card only. We had electric only as are most sites. $18 Along the river! Clean. Gravel sites

Great Location but....
This campground is on an island. The last few years of flooding has taken its toll on this City campground. We had a great time, met some new friends, and loved the views from our spot. We stayed here because our reservations at a COE across the river we cancelled at last minute. We talked to quite a few people who came here at least yearly. There is tons of places to check out nearby. The sites are cramped but everybody was friendly. The worst part was the near constant cars cruising through checking out the river. We would probably stay again, but if going for solitude go somewhere else.

Great Location
If you have things to do in Dubuque this is a great location. The sites are very close together with little room for a fire. There is a great bike path you can catch up with right there. The trains would be loud in a tent, but not a problem in the camper. Showers were very clean. Friendly hosts. Bugs are bad since it’s usually under water.

Beautiful But Cramped
If you get a spot right on the river it’s not so bad but the sites are set up so your party area is on the end of your camper for the majority of the sites. Not much space in between. Good playground for kids. If you get a spot close to the showers you will hear the greyhounds at the casino track super early in the morning barking for like an hour straight. Trains are loud too echoing up the river valley. Fishing is good but prepare to get snagged a lot haha. This campground has also been flooded all but like two weeks this entire summer. Seems like it’s getting worse every year. There’s two tent areas, one on either end of the rv sites. Bring your bug spray!

Awesome place 2 stay, affordable, clean bathrooms, and friendly staff when checking in, checking out, and while camping. Stayed 2 nights in end of August beginning of September 2017, very impressed and would recommend. A++++++++++
