Tight roads, expensive, but biggest problem for me is the edging on the site between gravel and grass is all pulling up and very hazardous.

Worse Campground Ever
We have been RV’ing for over 20 years in over 25 states and this is the worse campground we have ever stayed at. Tried to cancel our reservation last spring months before we were to arrive and was told no refunds but for $50 we would have a credit with them. Upon arrival this trip, I asked if I should unhook the tow vehicle in front of office where there was plenty of room and the ground was fairly level. Was told no, “should” be able to do so on our site. Couldn’t get to site with tow hooked vehicle because of narrow roads and sharp turn. Then could not unhook because of position we were stuck in. Tight, dirty sites. Our site was so unlevel and crowned that our storage compartment doors were out of square which resulted in two broken compartment latches in our Newmar Dutch Star coach. Over 2 hundred dollars in repair bills and a 1 1/2 hour trip to a parts dealer. The manager, could have cared less. Told me I could write a review on the internet, so here you go, Tim. You are a joke.

Not Bad….but
Nice park that is clean and convenient to local sites. However, the price is exceptionally high especially given the fact the pool is currently closed. We have a large family and they charge extra for anyone over 4, although they do offer a military discount. Sites and approach roads are also very narrow. I would stay here again if I had to, but would probably look for better options on either side of Denver if passing through.

Beautiful Place, Too bad an insane…
Very clean, neat and tidy. Our lot was mostly level. Staff was very kind and helpful. Although the strict early checkin policy (we were 10 minutes early) is over the top. And bonus if you love music at 180 decibels (the sound Krakatoa made when it erupted) you’ll love hearing it till 10:30 pm especially if you been driving for 7-8 hrs. Top it off by the especially pleasant sound of Harleys racing up and down Colfax. Then you’ll love it here.

Great Visit
We had a good stay to include taking in lots of interesting hiking trails and a few off-lease dog parks. The staff was outstanding and we had a few bars within walking distance. However, very close lots, and a bit disappointed, as there were no charcoal grills allowed and no campfires. Overall, we had a great visit.

Pleasant Surprise
Have to admit that we were very hesitant to stay here given the previous reviews. However; DeeDee in the front office was amazing in securing a spot for us at the last minute. If you want a 24/7 quiet RV park; this is not your location! But if you like live good music (classic rock) this is your place. Yes the bar is loud, but no one while we were there seemed to mind, including us. The only reason that I rated this location a “4” instead of “5” is that they will “nickel & dime” you. And when we checked in the only one smiling and genuinely looked like she was happy to be there was DeeDee. Bottom line, would definitely stay here again, especially if we’re looking for a family friendly concert like venue.

Positive Experience
We were in West Denver area for a week visiting friends and relatives. The campground is on a hill but sites are level. The campground is clean & well maintained and the staff is friendly. We had several cookouts and guests enjoyed themselves. I see that an earlier review complained about a bike's bar accosted the street. This is the Dirty Dog Roadhouse which I consider more of novelty than a nuisance. I think that the reviewer was sadly just having a bad week.

Three nights stay, nice pads for your RV. We were there for a funeral. Stressful as that is ; when you come back to relax - then you know you are at the wrong place. It is across the street of a Bikers Bar with live music!!!!!!! The internet was the worst I have ever had at any camp ground and the cable SUCKS! Don’t stay there!

Nice staff
Grounds people and office people were friendly. Park is clean and laundry area is large. Close to downtown Golden and an hour and a half to Rocky Mountain Park. Weekends are noisy with the biker bar across the road but they ended the live music by 10:30 and the bands were all good!

No Sympathy During The Fires
I should’ve listen to the warnings about their cancellation policy. We had a reservation for five nights and because of the fires couldn’t make the first night. Call to let them know and they charged us a $35 cancellation fee. Then when we realize we couldn’t make it at all due to the fires they refused to refund us any of our money. Horrible business practice. Every other place was extremely accommodating. We are moving from California to Ohio with our trailer. The fires definitely put a wrench in things and this expense hurt is a lot

Only space open
Only RV Campground in the area that had a space open. Very nice, very clean but a bit pretentious. Lots of REALLY BIG RIGS. Needed to know the years of my vehicle and camper. I guess they use that 10 year BS rule. More than what I usually pay but didn't have much choice. Pool and hot tub were closed but no discount because of it. Had a nice DVD library you could borrow from. Employees were nice but got the same amenities and service for $39 in Russel Kansas.

Great Bike Riding In The Area
Pros: Close to Red Rocks amphitheatre, clean, great showers and nice staff. Cons: Our pad had a huge slope, only 50% WiFi and overlooked a drainage pipe warehouse?

They don’t answer their phone or call back. They don’t go out of their way to help you. Way overpriced, Not worth the money.

For what you get
A nice place, but a little pricey considering what you get. We paid $61/night (with the Good Sam discount & back-in site), but there is no cable and WiFi is only adequate. The bathrooms had no paper towels or toilet paper because of "continued vandalism." The laundry is more than we usually spend. They charge you a $25 fee if you arrive too early or leave too late. The staff is nice though and you can borrow DVDs. We would rather stay at the state park campgrounds, if they were open.

Don’t Arrive After Closing
We arrived around 5pm, office closed. Went to do self check-in, but the envelope didn’t have the bathroom code, shower code, laundry code or wifi code. Called the office phone and left a message, no one ever called back. So apparently they wanted us to pay $64 for electricity and water?? No way!

Nice Campground
Very nice clean campground. Did not really venture much from the camper. Close to everything we went to see. We were here for 2 nights. Would definitely come again when in the area.

Busy Busy Busy
This campground was full every night during our stay. We booked over a month in advance and could only stay three nights. Nice campground. Bathrooms and laundry very clean. Pool very tiny. Roads to sites are very narrow. Concrete pads are narrow also. Turning into site I had the front of the truck on the grass and the trailer tires still missed the pad. Our site was fairly level. Down side. Sewer drains up hill. Does not drain well this way. Plus side ; location close to everything. $$$ for no cable.

Denver’s Challenge
This review says more about Denver than Dakota Ridge. Impossible to locate a campground that serves RVers who are passing through. If DR wants to serve the pass through, then they need to make it easier for larger units to move through campground OR limit size of units.

Great Location!
We booked this park due to a work trip. Preferably we would come to Denver in warmer months. Checking in at the park, the staff was friendly and quick. This park is in a great location if you are planning on exploring Denver and the surrounding cities. We were able to take day trips to Breckenridge, Boulder, and Denver. Downtown Golden is great. We ate dinner at Capital grill in downtown Golden. Due to the bomb cyclone we did not get into the park facilities. We had to stay an extra day due to the blizzard. The staff was very accommodating. There is a Chicago style bar and grill just west of the park. If you are a Chicago sports fan you should check out “Wrigley’s”. The only two things I would say hurt this park is the weak wi-fi signal and the very engaged care taker of the self storage next door to the park. The wi-if is weak and would not support streaming. The care taker of the self storage next door to the park starts his day at 5am (even in a blizzard). He is very loud...

One of the most professional and friendly staff you will ever encounter. The park is very well maintained with great amenities and location.

Very nice campground. The only issue I had was that I paid a holiday rate and had to share my power outlet and water because the camper next to me was using mine. When I called to ask the office about it they said they would send someone out to take care no in cane by. Other than that it was awesome. I would stay again.

Stay Anywhere But Here
$60 a night for tight weed ridden tree rooted rattlesnake trail no wifi no clean rv park. No refunds even if it is there fault you have a bobcat construction site next to you strewn with garbage. We have to stay for 2 weeks. Please don't do business with this park until they get a conscience and not only dollar signs . Staff cold and all they can do is to tell us to fill out a survey. Are you kidding me?

Stayed the first weekend of May 2017. Place was clean and well kept. While checking in on Friday we asked about a late check out on Sunday and were immediately accommodated. Staff was friendly and prices were reasonable.

Very expensive and no cable. It's a well-maintained park. Didn't like that you share common grass area with your neighbor. Also garbage is picked up between 8 & 10am. Dumpsters are locked. Wouldn't recommend due to $$ and no private space outside your camper.

They are the most expensive park we have stayed in. No cable for that price!!!! Some level sites. They charge for visitors plus for the car they come in. Too bad there aren't more choices in campgrounds.

Tight even for us with a popup. Expensive. It was the only game in town. The place we wanted to stay was booked and we were a day early. Glad it was just one night.
