Nice
Expensive spot… sadly homes are starting to come closer & closer to this great state park. The State Park offers so much for you… The campground gives you paved sites and roads, good bath house, .25$¢ a 3min shower if needed. Laundry. $1.50 Ea. Sites vary- W/E/S or E only. You pay to camp but you also pay the daily fee $10 each day. 🙄

We stayed for 4 days and I would agree with all the previous reviews. Nice, clean, quite camping.

Very Nice
We've been to Chatfield a couple times now and it easily gets five stars. Paved wide roads, concrete pad for the camper with FHU and wifi that works. But best of all is the size of the sites and the views! Tent campers might not like it on hot summer days. There is a total lack of shade in spots but then again you can go swimming in Chatfield Reservoir or Gravel Pond in the day. Or rent a kayak or paddle board. You are close to Denver but it doesn't feel like that at all. Very peaceful. We'll be back

My Stay
So far the park rangers though nice are very Dudley DoRight. Can’t do this, can’t do that. Very little to no shade of tent camping. Bathrooms are yucky. One stall had blood drippings all over. Wish I would have done my research a bit more. Next trip to Denver won’t be staying here.

Stayed here one night. Great place. Pads are concrete and asphalt, firepit was clean and park was overall very nice. $9 day entrance fee and $41 FHU per night.

FHU, Spacious, Great Lake
Love the size of the sites and that they are spaced out nicely. Great paved area for vehicles, concrete patio for picnic table. Fire pit large but locked in place too close to the RV. Little road noise and random train. Only real complaint is that you pay $32/nite for FHU and on top of that must pay $8/day park fee. That’s a bit much. WiFi was pretty good.

Me and my wife love this place. Best we have been to. Very friendly staff and every time we go the fire pits are clean and the area is very well taken care of

Pretty Park, Desolate Campground
It would not have been bearable without the A/C in out trailer. Mid 90's during the day, and few well-placed trees in the campground. But the area down by the water was great: lots of different bird and even some deer, plus lots of trees.
