Beautiful Spot
Perfect for our overnight; nice hiking trails, beautiful rocks. If you don't need/want amenities, then stop here. We took advantage of the senior discount.

Great Campground (Other Than Latrines)
We really enjoyed this campground! . The sites were large and private and the views were awesome. The stars at night were spectacular!
There are many chipmunks that wander through the campground. We found them quite entertaining.
The latrines that are not well maintained. There is water provided, but it has iron in it.
There are two loops in the RV section. One is closer to interstate than the other and would be noisier. From the Western loop (site 8) we could only hear the interstate if we tried.
For $5 with the lifetime senior pass, I'm not about to complain!

Good For A Night
It is a work in progress. It is basically a large gravel parking lot with full hook ups. $42 seemed a little high due to no other amenities other than a flat patch of gravel to park on for the night, but there are few other choices nearby.
They simply had us call a phone number to pay. No one on site to check us in.

Wow!
My husband and I began looking for a spot in the forest just 3 miles or so down the road from Curt Gowdy State Park. I believe this park is part of the Medicine Bow National Forest. The unpaved road was a bit rough in spots, but we did not have any trouble pulling our 24' camper through to find a camping spot. There were so many through the forest (it wasn't a regular, commercial campground) to choose from, and the scenery was exceptional. Needless to say, we boon docked. There were cattle that wandered through our site late at night and in the morning. It was really neat. I'd love to camp there again and spend more time hiking.

Awesome Rock Firmations
Beautiful well kept park. Far enough from but close enough to I-80. Walk-in tent sites have tables and pits and plenty of room and privacy. The rv pads are asphalt and very close to level.
