Great Camping And Mountain Biking
We discovered this park in 2017 as a quick overnighter on our way to Steamboat CO. We were so impressed with the camping and biking that we hoped to come back. 5 years later we finally made it back for a longer stay. We stayed in Happy Jack campground where we had electric hookup. No water, no sewer at any sites as far as I know & NO DUMP STATION - but we hit a Pilot with a pay dump station in Cheyenne on I80 as we headed home. Views were beautiful and the mountain biking was fantastic! Showers are located bottom level of the main Welcome center and are pay only - $1.25 got me 7 1/2 minutes and it was plenty. The showers are accessible all hours. There were trailers in one of the lots selling fire wood, ice, breakfast etc. We didn't need this so not sure what those services are like.

We camped at Crystal Loop. If you come in from the Visitor Entrance off Wyoming 210 the last 2-3 miles will jar your teeth. I could handle unpaved roads. This was a washboard road. Even at 5 mph we shook things loose in our Class A Our site was as expected nice, on the lake with electric service. There are 4 sites that I know of on Crystal Lake with electric service. There is a centrally located water spigot There is NO dump station at the park. It is a nice place fish or be on a small boat. They do not allow swimming in the lake

Neat Area
This place was completely booked the first night when my hubby and I drove by. So we stayed a night three miles down the road in the national forest. We did not have any hook ups there, but is was so pretty, and we had cattle actually walking through our campsite - 700C. I would love to stay there again! The next night one spot was open at Curt Gowdy. Some of the spots are nice and the body of water is pretty and there were some people fishing in their waders. A few of the spots seemed really uneven. There isn't a dump station even though it is advertised as having one in both their literature and on the website.

Great place, I’ve camped and fished here several times. Always very busy, area needs more campsites.
